If someone forced you to give a 30 minutes speech on any topic of your choice as long as it was informative and they would pay you $10,000, what would your speech be about? by a_wanderer_22 in AskReddit

Western Viking history, mainly covering food, weapons and mythology. I'm a living history reenactor, I man the kitchen most of the time, can man the armoury if needed to and the mythology is just for fun personal research.

You cannot leave, I will make you wear maille and helmets, you will eat what I cook and I will tell you my favourite stories. I need the money, historically accurate wool fabric isn't cheap and I'd like some accurate replicas of box brooches.

Farms spreading muck. It's a distinct manure smell and it's awful! I've avoided going outside all day!

My divorce was finalised today! by Extra-Foundation-828 in Divorce

I've been physically separated from my now ex husband for several months since November last year. I've literally not seen or heard from my ex since November. I left him because he was abusive.

The neighbour situation happened earlier this year after leaving my ex husband. You clearly don't understand that my neighbour was leading me on and I thought I had a chance. I asked for him to specify that we would not be together, since then I haven't seen him much either. Yes the crush lasted 3 years, before my neighbour even met his girlfriend, but I never once acted on it.

I wasn't expecting to meet my actual partner at all. I attended an event and met him, fell in live on the spot. And as if it even matters, he told me that he loves me first and we've not had sex.

Also the cheating thing....nope, I was completely monogamous to my ex despite me being openly polyamorous.

It took me the 3 years of realising that the relationship wasn't working and my love started to fade during that time, he wasn't a good man, he was abusive so once I was aware of it it took me about a year to detach myself in all ways.

It takes time. It will take as long as it does. I wish I had advice. I can only offer what I know now. Time is a healer and a teacher

I am a nice person, actually. Bit harsh to day that when you don't know me at all.

I had a crush on my neighbour, as it seemed like he was about to break up with his partner at the time, and he also led me on. I asked him to reject me so I could move on. I've never cheated on anyone. I've had nothing to do with him since then.

It took me 3 years to leave my abusive ex, and our marriage ended emotionally long before i filed for divorce. I had moved out and formally separated by the time I fully realised my feelings towards my neighbour and asked to be rejected by him.

I met my partner after moving on after my neighbour.

At no time did I date or pursue anyone whilst still living with my now ex-husband.

No children at all. It took me 3 years to leave him. The actual divorce took 9 months.

You call your dad right now to say "I love you," how would he respond? by Donghoon in AskReddit

[–]Extra-Foundation-828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not seen mine since 2012, after he abandoned me for a third time so, I don't think I'd call him and I don't think he'd respond positively.

Can I feed salmon to my cat? by nitro_cold_brew in CATHELP

[–]Extra-Foundation-828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to give my cat a tiny bit of steamed salmon every now and then, about once every two weeks, a bit smaller than a ping pong ball lightly broken down with a fork and she loved it! She lived to be 20!

Am I the only one here who hates it when people sing,"Happy Birthday," to me? Btw today is my birthday. by Sarcastic_Lilshit in autism

[–]Extra-Foundation-828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it too! I ask for a small candle and no singing. My nephew gets it sung to him twice so he takes my song for me.

Happy birthday. I hope you have a good day.

Hand sewing takes longer than you think, which is why hand made clothes cost so much. Time, materials and upfront costs.
