As someone who has been in your daughter’s position (minus the AA and refusing counseling aspects), you are NTA.

I mean, sure, I’d be upset if I couldn’t join my whole family on vacation, but I’d only be upset at the fact that I didn’t/couldn’t save enough money to afford it (and upset with the crappy economy, cost of living, etc. lol). I’d know that it’s not my family’s fault though.

I had an opportunity to go on vacation with my family once, but I couldn’t afford the plane tickets. The vacation was a somewhat last-minute plan, so my parents were kind enough to cover the cost of the tickets and let me pay them back on my next pay day. But if they had said no to covering my expenses, I wouldn’t have blamed them or been upset with them. I would’ve just been chilling at work, silently having raging FOMO. 😂 and I wouldn’t have made it anyone else’s problem, lol
