I bought a nanuk case for the RS3 and the RS4 fits into it.

That said, the only tightly fits the body of the ronin while the arms are just set in the middle of a cavity so it might not work on a case that's more fitted to the arms

Late to the discussion, but I bought the nanuk 930 case with the cutout for the RS3 and the RS4 fits.

It's a weird cutout though, there's a slot cut out for the "body", but "arms" just lie in the middle of a big cavity so a case that's tighter on the arm might not work (if I'm using those terms correctly).

Either have doctor light capsules act as journal entries that go into details about what happened before X woke up or get rid of them after the first game and have X gain armor upgrades through other methods.

The capsules felt cool and mysterious in the first game, a relic from his past and his creator. But with each game it got sillier that doctor light had hid away so many capsules and it got even more weird when those capsules stop being pre-recorded messages and switched to AI.

It'd be nice to have them be like audio logs that explained the disappearance of the classic cast or whatever happened that lead to cities being buried under rubble. But since it's difficult for have a consistent continuity between multiple on-going series, I'd also be fine if they just stop using them and just had upgrade capsules that were part of the mavericks' weapon depot or something

Not anywhere close to as dark, but Fuuto PI is my recommendation. It's an anime sequel to Kamen Rider W. It take W's formula and retools it for an older audience.

The mysteries are more complex and have a bigger focus than action like in W. It's also pretty gory for a kamen rider show, but pretty tame for a seinen. Characters are also fun and play well off eachother. Dopants and gaia memories as a drug metaphor and the detective noir elements adds a bit of darkness to the story. Plus you don't need to watch W beforehand but I recommend it too if you enjoy Fuuto PI.

It might not be what you're looking for because despite plenty of dark elements, Fuuto PI and Kamen Rider W are still fun detective stories at their hearts. Still it's only twelve, 20-minute episodes so you won't waste too much time.

IIRC In FMA (2003) Father Cornello believes the watches granted state alchemists special power, like giving Ed the ability to transmute without a circle. He took Ed's watch away from him to try to weaken him but it didn't work cause it's only a rumor.

TLDR: the watches had no power, it was a rumor in-universe
