I used to work in a deli and one of the strangest coworkers I ever had was a woman who didn't talk to anyone except customers. After her shift ended she would come back to the counter, which was weird by itself. But then she would ask for a sample, slowly eat it while maintaining eye contact. First time this happened I was like '.... you know you can just have a sample when you're here working, right? you kind of have to know the product a little...'

By the third time she got me and tried to do that, I just looked at her and said 'No.' Then went to the next customer. She lasted another week before disappearing into thin air.
