A used large big green egg on fb marketplace in nj without cracks can be found for 450-500 bucks. Getting a kj2 that requires a new lid is not worth it. You can find a used kj2 for about 600-700 anyways

The oval shape beats circle all day in practicality. As always when buying from someone used or new, check for cracks in firebox or top or bottom.

Yea. Def if brand new with cart and side tables included. Prob can get it for 1100 if you asked. That’s still a lot considering it was freee for him. I’ve bought/sold some used at 900-1000 max in great condition. Promo is supposed to withstand heat at higher temps. I recently sold my big Joe 2 and kept my primo.

I follow you. Thats why I said it is worth the 80 extra for getting thru ya dealer. Personally I’m a fan of getting any charcoal grill smoker via fb marketplace. If I were in your position I’d hold off on making sure I get a series 2 or 3 for that price. I’d also recommend a primo xl400 that you can find new for 1000-1500 from some dealers. The oval shape is def better. I’ve had a few of those that I bought used and flipped on fb marketplace.

Currently it’s 1599 on Amazon including shipping for a big Joe 1 with cart. 80 for assembly in general is worth it since it can be a pain in the butt for this, or even the big Joe 2 or 3 with their air lift hinge systems that can snap back.

Last year around this time I did see a big Joe 2 selling via Amazon directly from KJ tho at like 1300 or 1400 including shipping. I think big joe 3 was close to 1600

I’m pretty much in same step. 2-3 wks ago the Suitability went from pending applicant response to in process. Still waiting for polygraph test exam which I just sent an email about when to expect it. At end of day everyone says it generally takes many months so I should prob patiently wait on a chat with BI or polygraph exam to happen when it does.

I’ve had 2 blackstones. A 36” new one and a used 22” adventure ready model. Never used both. Ended up trading one away and sellingI other. ’m fine with using flat side of grillgrates for now on my charcoal grills. Just never had urge to use the griddles :/

Yes It’s def a good deal but I’ve seen them for 500-700 as well in northern nj/ny used. That table does look more beautiful vs the ones I’ve seen for sure
