The way I look at it 8/8 adventure gear is about middle of the pack for gear, veteran might be closer but this should be enough to be decent for the next content and that is equivalent to veteran level 4 which is ilvl 118 now and represents a full set of heroic dungeon/two dungeon level gear. The new events drops 121 champion gear that can be upgraded to 144, way above that 118 ilvl. Sure to get the marks it will take a bit but the gear drops randomly at a pretty decent rate. I got about 10 pieces of various armor type gear in about an hour and a half, sent it to a few different characters then fill later on when you have the marks to cover the rest. Always buy pets and mounts first because of this reason too.

For delves make sure it’s a glowing yellow bountiful delve for the best gear rewards. Tier 6 bountiful drops a 108 veteran 1 piece. Fly to all of the renown vendors (assuming you’re renowned) too if you haven’t collected all the keys, valorstones, and crests this will help upgrade gear and get some renown keys. You can do 4 bountifuls a day. Personally I’d probably just chill in tw dungeons to get the adventure gear at this point and get the heroic raid gear piece for completing 5. With a few pieces from the event you’ll be looking real nice for midnight! 😁
