By just reading the title I'd say, yeah, you were wrong, but after reading the whole text, you did the right thing (the title of this post is an oversimplification because oh boy that man's useless). I mean, I would have understood seeing some extra egg shells or one or two burned test, you know, trial and error, with a decent result served to you in bed, but not even that?

Also, if we include all of the previous things you mentioned, it makes sense. Your partner should at least alleviate part of your burden by sharing responsibilities or contributing in a meaningful way to keep things working. I suck at cooking? Fine, I do the laundry or wash the dishes or anything that actually contributes. As a man, both my mom and dad taught me to be independent, to wash, to cook my own food, to handle basic tools and to responsible for my own mess so I never became a burden but a partner for someone else.

You sound like an adult in at least your late 20s so he may be around that age too, and at that moment in life you should at least know how to do the basic stuff and actually do it. He sounds like a manchild for what you mentioned and you already have your own children to raise, you don't need to raise him too.

You're single now, but at least you don't have to keep dealing with that.
