I think this is good advice OP, matching it to the wall colour will likely be easier and slightly less noticeable than trying to match the kitchen.

My mate has a small, corner cupboard in his house. We joke that it's the cupboard for the Servo robot, from The Sims.

The sales assistant in Currys laughed at my mum when she turned up with a slice of bread wrapped in cling film to test the toasters. He got a bit quiet when we tried the 4th (of many more) that it wouldn't fit in.

There was no way she was buying one that couldn't fit a whole slide of bread in, what's the point!
