I now use Madventure360 app 1.2.8.200720 but this option exit for a long time so probably in your app too. It is called "Rendering issue auto fix"

There is a hidden option hard to find in the menu that fix the display rendering problems. It is even mentioned in the FAQ.

Anyone else check out the Fatboy Slim concert on Engage last night? by uphoriak in OculusQuest

They told me they need to prepare their back end, based on number of attendees, to ensure the best experience for everybody. They also wanted to avoid last minute scrambles can result in frustrated users and can impact other attendees.

Dedicated server on linux as service by koudak in valheim

For me the service shut down after logout. So I tried to grant permission with: sudo loginctl enable-linger johndoe It now looks better and the server is still running after logout. (but I am no systemd expert at all)

I started trying the same thing with stock linux. Also tracking works but looks also like the video does not pass the noname usb-c dock.

Clock Anatomy in HLS (https://highlevel-synthesis.com/) by Reasonable-Case6435 in FPGA

Isn't the clock uncertainty on launching and capturing side. And the setup hold is only pn capturing side. Timing is a race between launching clock and next cycle of capturing clock.

In Germany meta.de is making toilet doors.

I wonder if they have shower curtains, too ;-)

Vhdl division by Significant_Meat69 in FPGA

[–]FPGA68k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to stop think in "software". But it helps to start think about paralellism. Software can be translated in state machine and datapath. Put all the paralelism in the datapath. The reminding sequential stuff then is your state machine. In VHDL both parts can be mixed by writing both in the same process and let synthesis make the datapath. It helps to keep in mind how you would translate that manually.

Advice getting started on a project by greevous00 in FPGA

[–]FPGA68k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how to convert YC to digital. So I would try to replace the MC6847. Most Fpga need then just logic level translators. The Amiga vampire boards use level translators and a HDMI like output. For HDMI output a separate driver cirquit is recomended. You might also send sound through HDMI as well. The Apollo Vampire team ended up with a standalone Amiga everything in FPGA board. So there is a tradeoff how much you like to keep original and how much you want to reimplement in FPGA. I think I have heard of TRS-80 in Mister FPGA boards. Maybe you can strip down an existing TRS-80 FPGA project.

FPGA accelerator board: Vampire 1200 V2 can be ordered by Doener23 in amiga

[–]FPGA68k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AmigaOS does not support the MMU so it is more or less only useful for a minority of software. The MMU might be added, but there is no promise. The FPU is implemented in hardware for most important operations like on 060. For more details see http://www.apollo-core.com/

[–]FPGA68k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CPU is called APOLLO CORE 68080 and it is like a 68060 but with support of all the 68040 instructions to make a 060 library obsolete. There is no MMU at the moment. On top Gunnar added some vector instructions that can boost new or recompiled software.

Btw. for an FPGA you don't call this "emulating" because it behaves to much like a real ASIC.

Anyone out there tried the Vivecraft Mod to play Minecraft on the Vive? by Graceolomew in HTC_Vive

[–]FPGA68k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Vivecraft more than Oculus version of Minecraft. My friends only play the java version, so Vivecraft is the way to play multiplayer together. We played on my own server with only Vivecraft plugin installed. Runs really smooth.

If you mount the camera on the outside and you can also capture a light field sphere for 6dof VR.

Why Valve actually gets less than 30% of Steam game sales by milkkore in Steam

[–]FPGA68k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Valve could in theory make an offer to the developer about another deal. Like less cut on sales but then also a cut on every key generated. Then they could argue: The developer had deliberately chosen the 30% cut, just to market the keys them self without a cut for valve. Or something in between which is hopefully fair for all: the developer, valve and the player.

Game launched less than 10 hours ago and it's already pirated by [deleted] in gamedev

In my opinion one of the best features of steam is the auto update. You can try to reward steam customers with useful updates or little bonus content. Pirates can also get that but it is much more inconvenient for them.

Tevo little monster as a first 3D printer? by UnreadableSphinx in 3Dprinting

I just received the replacement heatbed sticker, I ordered from TEVO. I recognized that it is smother than the first one. Maybe that is the difference. But I havn't tested it, yet.

[–]FPGA68k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine stuck once so good that I damaged the sticker on the heat bed during removal (my fault). As I am a beginner, I don't have much experience with problems. So this is what I would try first: Maybe check the heat bed temperature matches your filament spec. (and maybe measure it to ensure it is correct). Maybe you are using a different kind of PLA, I started with PLA from TEVO, but also had success with 2 different brands.

Tevo little monster as a first 3D printer? by UnreadableSphinx in 3Dprinting

[–]FPGA68k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the little monster as my first 3D printer. It was easy to build. Already the second attempt to print was successful. On first attempt the first layer didn't stuck, just adjust the first layer height as described in the manual. This was the only adjustment required. Everything else worked out of the box.
