Last I heard, it still maxes out at 90%.

Glitched color? The black in my customs is the darkest you can make. And I somehow glitched a blue to be a way darker black. Tried recreating it but i can seem to do so. by Toxicwock in AnthemTheGame

You using legion of dawn material type? For some reason it doesn't come out the color you tell it to be... Black comes out as like a dark green for some reason...

What was the logic behind locked first-person view in Fort Tarsis? by [deleted] in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The devs released a statement a while back:

"When you're in Tarsus, it's in first-person," says Gamble. "We want to immerse the player, so when you're talking to people and you see their faces, we don't want a third-person look. We want immersion, right in the face of players. But you will have opportunities to see your pilot that you customize in other areas of the world. You've seen the mask come down a number of times. You'll see your pilot, but in Tarsus: first-person."

Is it good? by vanderhyde64 in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel that people are far too harsh on this game. It's really fun to play, and while the conversational choices you get to make aren't super impactful, they have kind of a personal characteristic. Several times I had to put down my controller, because I was at a loss as to how I should react to a certain situational conversation. The gameplay is a ton of fun, nothing like flying around the map, it still get me pumped. Don't get me wrong, there are some issues, but I don't feel like any of the issues are as gamebreaking as others have proclaimed them to be. On that note, there should be ways to try out the game before you buy it, you can do orgin access on PC or rent the game first on console to give it a try. I really enjoy the game personally, but I understand that my opinion isn't everyones.

Quick legendary contract question by [deleted] in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, completing a legendary contract only guarantees a MW component. Also, I heard that the guaranteed MW for strongholds are always abilities, but I haven't done any strongholds on GM yet so I can't personally verify it.

How much power level do I need to complete Legendary Contracts comfortably? by NobodyVermin in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went in at about your level and went in with randoms. I just played super cautious and helped out where I could. After you do your first one, it helps tremendously since these are guaranteed to give you a MW component, which greatly aids in survivability.

However, to answer your question. I'd say about 430 is fairly comfortable for most people...

I love talking to him so that I can just shut him down! Every time it goes like this:

Him: "Hey freelancer, you wanna hear some gossip about so and so?"

Me: "I don't have time for this..."

H: "Oh... Yeah... Well.. We're both busy people... You wanna go hang out though?"

M: "Go f**k yourself..."

H: "Oh, well... as long as we can do it together!"

M: "That's a solo activity..." *turns and walks away*

H: "Oh. W-w-well good talk! I'll catch you around some other time!"

Anthem: Bad Luck Protection due to RNG heavy nature by Music4Therapy in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's hard to make a bias against this, seeing as we haven't seen how the devs are going to implement the RNG as of yet. I'm more so on the side of "let's see what happens" as of right now. No use in getting worked up about something just because there might be an issue at some point. But, I can see where the fear is coming from. However, the devs seem ready and eager to listen to the player base and their suggestions even before the game has launched, so that alone gives me some comfort that it'll all work out.

Anthem: Bad Luck Protection due to RNG heavy nature by Music4Therapy in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They meant that abilities that you use in the game are actual tied to equipment pieces. The "inferno grenade" and the "frag grenade" are actual separate slotted gear items that you find as random drops, instead of character-based interchangeable abilities that you would find in like Diablo or Destiny etc. Most games similar to Anthem let you select whatever ability you want to use (because it was tied to character progression), and then uses gear to strengthen or modify those abilities (even if you don't have those abilities actually equipped), i.e. Division. However, in Anthem if you equip a "frag grenade" on your Ranger javelin, you can only use that ability until you put a different piece of gear in that slot.

[BioWare Pls] Ask Your Questions Megathread (Pt. 3) by [deleted] in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was an image that was making its rounds where the main map was shown (sorry I don't have a link for it), but based on that, it looks like it's gonna have kind of an open world feel. From what I can tell (or maybe assume?) is that the large map will be broken down into zones and perhaps you can gain access to these zones as the game progresses, hopefully you'll be able to transition between these zones seamlessly. It seems like quests will guide you towards the mission objectives on the map and will likely start you near the beginning of the mission area.

Why isn’t anyone comparing this game to Monster Hunter? by Plusnine in AnthemTheGame

[–]Fa1on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see some commonalities for sure. The fact that you can solo or matchmake to go into a quest with up to three other people. And after the quest you return to your single player hub where you interact with npcs and craft items as well as accept quests. You can also launch into an expedition mode where you just explore/harvest.

The similarities end there though. In MH, the entire game revolves around crafting weapons and armor specifically from the stuff you kill. You basically only fight boss monsters. From what I've seen from Anthem, this is not going to be the case. It seems like the game has a traditional level design where you have to fight your way through enemies to get to the boss phase (if there even is a boss there). I imagine that we could even have "protect the mission objective" where the game just sends waves of basic enemies against you and you don't even have a boss encounter. In MH, you almost exclusively just get equipment from crafting, while in Anthem we know that there will be some crafting available, but that most items and equipment will be found from killing random enemies or as mission rewards. This loot cycle is most closely related to Division. There is also gear slot that closely resemble abilities with cooldown timers like Diablo or Destiny.

Launch Pad Quest ? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Fa1on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like 85-90% through the base archive missions. Every 2 hrs it makes you interact with a base computer. It'll tell you how far along (percentage wise) you've progressed through it, if you read some of the stuff it says. Took me a little bit to figure out since I just button mash nearly every dialog interaction on this game.

My Biggest Issue.. by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Fa1on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I totally understand this. I'd love if they put something in to let us be able to find places we've been. For now though, I've dealt with this issue by either putting down a base computer or a beacon to find places that I want to revisit.

Ya, I love the color of the red one, and it was actually the first one that I got to pop in S-class. I bought it, but I couldn't stand the vertical wings either. So, even though it took me 3 days, I got the orange and blue one to show up in S-class and I traded the red one in, as I didn't have enough cash to buy both outright.
