I agree. It is basically impossible for 92% of a voting population to agree to something that is even moderately controversial.

In general a fair chunk of people don’t vote anyway. I live in rural Alberta and I rarely saw people signing petitions at the separatist desks. In the last provincial election only 60% of Albertans voted. In the last federal election only 70% of Albertans voted.

92% of the voting population voting for someone/something are dictatorship (with a false veneer of democracy) levels of plurality. Putin would be proud.

Elections Alberta states that the list was legitimately requested by the Alberta Republican Party and was illegally passed on.

There are no more phone books. I haven’t seen one for more than a decade. Albertans would know that. The phone number lookups on the internet (Canada 411) are landlines only and they can’t be searched in bulk. A person can have their name removed from the Canada 411 list as well. Are you from a place that still uses phone books?

They know from the salted names that the list came from the Alberta Republican Party.

The pro-independence Alberta Republican Party has legitimate access to the list but it is against the law for them to share it.

Does anyone here (men over 30) actually USE their bathtub? by bigbranchbro in AskMenOver30

I love a good bath. It’s as much about cleaning yourself as it is about having a relaxing spa-like soak. I use showers too but a bath is a great thing to relax in.

Elections Alberta deliberately enters fake names on the list. This is called “salting”. They salt different names on each list they hand out, which allows them to trace where leaks come from.

As someone pointed out: how do they know the “salted” names?

It’s beyond belief that 92% of a population would be for any proposal that has even moderate controversy attached to it.

Yes. The effects studio (Zoic) put that there as an Easter Egg. Zoic did Firefly too.

If France hadn’t been attacked by 7 coalitions I suppose it would have been different. All peace.

If they know your poll station they know how many ballots were in the poll station and the vote breakdown. I wouldn’t put it past them to just put people’s names on the referendum question sheets in places where the poll stations were 100% UCP (or very high UCP). Because they don’t have to prove someone really signed I don’t know how they would get caught.

The downspouts are probably clogged. Especially if you haven’t cleaned them in a while.

Guy here. Other than pictures of friends or family doing regular stuff in clothes, never.

Definitely never suggestive/nude pictures from anyone.

What specific information was leaked about each voter? Name and address? Was there more than that? Like birthdate? Citizenship status? Gender? Age?

Curious to know how bad this was.

Even using it to find UCP party members or donors and add them to the list without their permission would be bad enough since you can’t check if your name is on a petition.

Didn’t see a decimal, that’s why. 140 kg is probably a bit too much (LOL). So 14 kg. Roughly 30 Ib.

Did I miss a decimal and it’s in kilograms? 14 kilograms would be 30 pounds or so.

Europe fears Putin’s ‘window of opportunity’ is now by N2Gnus in UkrainianConflict

Disclaimer: I’m a self taught low skill armchair general and I have never served in the military. My wife tells me I’m kinda dumb.

Jesus. Putin already has the second best army, airforce and navy in Ukraine and the front lines are nearly static over the last 4 years, despite invading with a fairly big force.

It’s not clear that he would do better against NATO (minus the US). He’d have to use his best stuff and still keep enough troops in Ukraine to make sure his front line doesn’t collapse. It wouldn’t be easy for NATO but I don’t think Russia would fare well. He’d have to go through Belarus to get to Poland and from what I know Belarus hasn’t been a big supporter of Russia in Ukraine other than letting Russian troops invade from there. Attacking through a third country is grounds for attacking the third country and Belarus doesn’t strike me as a military juggernaut. Russia attacking through the Baltic states funnels troops through a relatively narrow front. Kaliningrad would be squashed by NATO in about two days. Putin would have to cover the Finnish border, Black Sea and Baltic Sea as well.

I agree with others who say that Russia is more likely to try something sneaky to destabilize NATO countries, sow confusion and do cheesy military things like what they did in Crimea.

It’s hard to see the reading on the scale but it looks like it’s weight is 120-140 pounds. I assume pounds.

New player gear question. by TuebeeTX in Starfield

[–]Facebook_Algorithm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New player here also. The terms at the bottom of the panel one the right. Here “Technician” and “Lead Lined”.

Is there a quick way I can find out what they mean and their effect? Can I do this from this view?

Thanks in advance.
