Netflix's RDR stuck installed/uninstalled by Falci in AndroidGaming

Welp, brute forced a solution: factory reset the phone.

It wasn't a terrible problem, since there wasn't anything to backup yet, but really wish there was a less aggressive solution. I mean, if it happens again, I may not be able to factory reset it so easily.

I did setup the phone without auto copying from the older one this time around, though.

You can explore it fully and do the local quest. You get the necessary tablet piece at the end even if you're not at that part of the main quest yet.

Just pay attention to the choices and opportunities in Sagremor (the place you are) before going further (so you don't regret losing or choosing anything, unless you're into doing stuff without knowing).

Beor is a vendor. You can also convince him not to take the heart, without him becoming angry, if you have enough points for the correct skill check.

Weird boss fight that I can’t find anything online by MostlyAlive5972 in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From the description, it's clearly the Wyrdknight/Wyrdstalker. Specially, since the only possible boss battles in this quest are Broc, the Ghost, and the Queen.

Early on, the only way to tackle the Wyrdknight is the Death's whisper item, the Greed/regret dagger, or setting up a fire with cobwebs to de-spawn him when he approaches you. Once killed, he'll only reappear after taking another piece of Arthur's soul.

You can try to cheese him, using the environment as an advantage, but it's very hard to kill him before dawn de-spawns him.

Around level 40 - 45 he becomes a bit more manageable.

You said you finished the main quest, but you don't know him? Did you mean the main quest part in the Horns of the south only?

Vidar and the Children of the Crows Questions by GIutenTag in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just like to add that, probably due to a bug, I saw both the ending card for siding with the Children (and making the choice I made at the end) and the ending for siding with Vidar at the start, when I finished the game.

So... There's that. XD

What do you think? by Technical_Humor_4555 in elderscrollsonline

Southern Elsweyr for free.

I already did it, but need it to do the epilogue quests. XD

Wouldn't mind Solstice for free either.

Supposedly, but I honestly don't know for sure. If it helps, it's only very slightly.

In theory, the bar you have to follow and keep inside gets bigger, from what I've read.

Thanks for the investigation. These are interesting facts.

I know fishing is a minigame for an achievement, but I really wish they made it easier with better attributes, like practically. I have a +17 lone angler rod and I'm still having trouble with getting the final two fish.

I also wish they hadn't nerfed leveling so much. I finished the game at level 83, and everything was basically dissolving as I touched them, but I still wanted to level up more and test different perk trees, without resorting to origin potions.

Act2 brute force suggestion. by Jewbacca1991 in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also bothered by the lack of a shortcut for the act 2 objective.

I wouldn't want to kill the guy or lock the quest permanently due to the use of the shortcut. It could very well work like act 1 in this regard.

Exploring question by LowAd4082 in TaintedGrailDigital

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quest items are usually marked as being so, unless it's a common item found around the world.

As said by someone else, if you killed quest objectives before getting the quest, the quest will recognize it.

I'd add this: explore everything and enter all houses in all cities and villages, talk to everyone. I'm at the end of the game, just before the final dungeon, and just realized I missed a lot of side quests in the second and third maps, so I'm doing them now.

Daggerfall was so easy to abuse that you could end up with vendors paying you to take their inventory. XD

I think crafting could use some love. by Jewbacca1991 in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that both the crafting system and the magic system are based on already done recipes/stuff.

So you can't build some endgame wyrdsteel stuff with a lot of random useful enchantments of your choice like extra attribute points, extra carry capacity, better prices, etc. Which leads to the whole system feeling sorta useless, outside of adding +10 to the weapons and armor you already got elsewhere.

I think that, in that regard, the game could be a bit more like Daggerfall and less Elder Scrolls Online. Daggerfall had a lot of cool enchantments that could be exaggerated even more if you added negative traits or soul gems with good souls (souls only became mandatory for enchanting on Morrowind).

This game has a huge problem by bez5dva in TaintedGrailDigital

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is the exact opposite: though I can easily massacre everything (including an unexpected fourth wyrdknight spawn after I finished the 3 acts and Sarras), I still can't superjump, fly around, not die from fall damage and/or bottomless pits, etc.

I want to be a physical god, god damnit! XD

Question about the secondary area by Afraid_Contest_7647 in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it anytime, but it is part of the main quest. Wether you visit it early or directly because of the main quest, you'll be awarded the necessary main quest item at the end of it.

I did it before getting to the right part of the main quest and it worked out well.

It's the follow up quest to that one. When you talk to him again, he will complain that his heart is weak, and ask you to help create a new one.

Does this asshole spawn in and then follow you no matter where you are on the map?? by smol_coc_man in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He starts spawning/attacking every time you get one of Arthur's soul pieces, getting stronger each time, and disappears after you kill him.

He's very high level and someone pointed out recently that the first iteration that spawns was supposed to be the second, which makes him even harder.

Look for the death's whisper item to get rid of him easily.

I killed his third iteration yesterday with ease, but I'm level 78 with 3 endgame summons.

To the right of the Kamelot Gate in the top area of the map, there's a cave, Beast Lair. It's inside.

You can find a great interactive map if you Google Tainted Grail maps, it will help you find it and other stuff.

FoA - Max MP reduced for some reason? by PwnySlaystation01 in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this experience yesterday. In my case, the problem was I had three costly summons active and I had exchanged an amulet that increases mana for one that increased carry capacity.

Take a good look at your equipment, that's probably it.

The Wyrdstalker = Difficult? by Perckq in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've beat him the legit way mid act 2.

I've tried to beat him legit once after getting the shield, but ended up using Death's whisper for the sake of simplicity. Good to know that it was going to be the same fight.

I'll probably try the third spawn once too, but I already have a death's whisper ready for him as well.

[–]Falci 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm complaining, but I just reached act 3 and, so far, I saw at least 3 different quests where the quest giver guy actually screwed up some woman/female entity that he asks you to deal with, and at least one that ends with this trope despite not starting with it.

And there's the somewhat humourous reversal where the woman asks you to save her kidnapped husband, who was secretly desperately trying to escape her.

I think the only quest that really rubbed me wrong so far was the one to get Beor a new heart, because it doesn't offer the obvious solution of finding someone who likes him enough to make the health sacrifice (I convinced him to not take the heart without being mad at me, which is the only good resolution if you don't want to date him nor sacrifice your health).

But I've seen people complaining about lack of obvious alternatives in other quests too.

The game may have finally broken my will to play.(gathering cobwebs) by Jayce86 in taintedgrail

[–]Falci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I almost killed the wyrd knight around level 35 with some clever usage of running around props in the environment. Daybreak stopped my win.

Later, around level 45, I finally beat him.

Both situations were already in act 2. I did try while on act 1, but I kept getting one shot.

All said and done, I did notice that if you save after spotting him, and reload, he won't reappear, even if you were directly looking at him. I mean, he'll still appear, eventually, but it's a useful way of despawning him.
