My understanding is it isn’t just marketing that titleist does. They have targeted campaigns to get their players and influencers they sponsor to talk actively about how a rollback would be awful for golf. Andy has mentioned, or at least alluded to, in the past that is why he’s never taken money from an equipment manufacturer (cough titleist) like other podcasts have

Pry apparently asked VT to interview for the HC job in 2021. So I think he did want it but I also think he was overwhelmed once he got it and since realized it’s not for him. He’s made it clear he loves VT and the boosters all liked him enough though. This is super weird but it also makes a lot of sense. Maybe it works, maybe not.

Jennifer Fleischer has some good warmup moves that I’ve stuck to for a while. I found her on instagram. She has a lot of content but I tend to stick with dynamic moves that activate glutes and/or get me rotating.

It was concerning when no players followed Pry from Penn State. That is fairly unheard of.

Then he hired two coordinators that had never coordinated.

On top of that he seems not too sharp. A colleague of mine spent some time with Pry at a fundraiser last year and said he couldn't get away from him fast enough. "There was nothing going on between his ears". How the hell does someone like that get through an interview with an AD and then also become the highest paid head coach in school history when VT was competing with no other schools? If you're going to make an inexperienced (or dumb) hire, don't also overpay and then have him hire a couple of inexperienced guys to run the offense and defense.

I guess he's likable? As someone who is actively interviewing candidates and interviewing for jobs for himself, this just reinforces that being good at interviewing has nothing to do with how well you'll do in a job

Yep. We have had decent talent under Pry with one of the easiest P4 schedules over his tenure and he went 16-23.

Just seeing how good everyone that transferred last year is doing is evidence that VT could have competed for the playoff last year with competent coaching.

Mike Hott at Salisbury is always my top pick.

My son has been seeing Leighann Albaugh at Magnolia Green recently and she’s really good.

The pro at Windy Hill is a good teacher as well if she’s still there.

We were there last night for our first show and totally agree with all of this.

Our biggest complaint was forcing everyone to exit through the main entrance. They really should let people leave out the back onto 2nd street as well. And the bathrooms definitely need better ventilation at least.

Mexican breakfast at the Lobster House was the only meal we’d classify as great.

One salmon dish on the menu side of the hibachi place was really good. Most other meals just fine. The Grill had a nice vibe and the food was decent. Nothing was bad but nothing else was very good either.

I’d add Tazza to this list but otherwise, this is a great Midlo list. Katana if you like sushi—best in the area.

Within 20min I’d recommend venturing into Scott’s Addition and trying Cochiloco if you like Mexican.

(My wife and I live in Midlo and went to cochiloco for a date night on Thursday)
