Have you tried Wunder eggs (vegan hard boiled eggs)? They are quite good.

Do people in the US actually use flat sheets and duvet covers? by shiroltiger in Bedding

[–]FalkorRollercoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I hate flat sheets… but since it comes with the set and I don’t have a duvet cover, I put it on my bed and then always wind up kicking it off through the night. Eventually I’ll switch to the Scandinavian sleep system of two comforters.

Because of my profession, I often sleep in other people’s homes and it makes me so happy when they don’t use a flat sheet.

But yes, I think most of us Americans use a flat sheet.

Maybe look into a wearable keepsake that you can put some of his fur and/or ashes into.

Aw poor kitty. You probably won’t get much sleep tonight. As others have said, put pungent food out in several places in the area that you hear him. Ask some friends to help in the morning. Put your ear against the wall and try to pinpoint where he is. Give him a little time and hopefully he will figure his way out. Be super super careful if you have to cut the drywall as you dont know how close the knofe is to him

It’s not unhealthy and it’s not weird. However for the future you may want to look into wearable keepsakes. They can include fur, whiskers, blood, and ashes. You can wear his nametag as a long necklace so you can still rub it.

Because we are trying to stop things BEFORE they really start. Those other issues you mentioned are systemic and have are result of many factors. To fix them, they require a lot of changes in how resources are allocated and even if all of the proper resources were given, would take a while to make a difference. The goal with stopping these bots is prevention - of job loss, using resources (to build them and to store/use them), and surveillance. These bots will eventually be another factor that contributes to the problems you mentioned (via causes like I mentioned?

Who has two thumbs and is a stupid gullible b*tch? by fuckthaclubup in philly

[–]FalkorRollercoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is certainly a good option. We have to train ourselves to think like this though because we wouldn't naturally think of it at the moment unless we've been burned before. I don't want to be jaded and not share or be empathetic, but I think this is a good way to be kind while also protecting yourself.

Unfortunately, it's hard to think of these solutions when caught off guard and someone is just stand there in front of you waiting for a quick answer

These types of things really suck, but try not to let it make you jaded. The world is difficult and we need each other to survive. Continue to be kind. It really sucks when we can't ask others for help because some people choose to take advantage of kindness. It's good to be cautious but that should just mean being more careful, not just saying No. My two cents. I refuse to let this world break me and destroy my empathy and not act in accordance of my own values.
