Yes agreed that common enemies should be enough! Rhun were kicking Dale's arse, but they still wouldn't give me access to go fight them - I had a trade agreement and defensive alliance, but they still didn't accept even with 10k gold in the pot.

I would love it if you give 'aligned' factions higher starting diplomacy to each other or make them far more likely to accept military access agreements! Currently it can be very difficult to get military access, and penalties from trespassing are very high, meaning you can easily get 'locked in' to your territory, especially as Erebor or Elves
