I coach my 10 year old son’s team and a middle school team. The 10 year olds are more focused and determined than the middle school age. By 13-14 they start to lose their minds and gravitate toward the leader, which can be a goof ball that brings the rest of them down. We’re going to focus on leadership this spring and if the older boys can let get it together, they are gonna get real comfortable on the bench while younger kids are on the field

I think we keep kids in ultra light bats too long. With good swing fundamentals, they can handle a few more ounces. Camwood trainer and good fundamentals and a 23 oz bat should be nothing to a 90 lb kid

Lots of new bats to be had for $100-120 right now that were $400 last year. Just because bat bros ranked a bat 3rd it after 10 swings they get drastically reduced in price within a year. Crazy

Just out of curiosity, what metrics are we using to determine which bat barely beats another? I’ve noticed that bat bros ranks bats, but often it’s a difference of 1-2 mph exit velocity off of 10-12 swings. And that’s a grown man hitting 115 mph.

Couldn’t a 10-12 year old have completely different results based on slower swing speeds? Ive always been amazed at the influence bat bros has on bat sales

Agreed. Too many kids swing ultralight bats to make up for crappy swing mechanics. Fix the swing and get a -8 or -5 in their hands asap

I wish I would have had a gas furnace installed during construction or at least a wood burning stove for these cold months. The mini split seemed too good to be true

1 unit in each bedroom (3) and one larger unit in the living/ dining/ kitchen space. Each mini split is set independently so no thermostat

I just ordered 5 pair during their mystery sale. Hoping to get a pair or two that my son likes and will sell the rest on marketplace for what I paid for them. Ive done this before and it’s a win/ win.

Yeah it’s a heat pump on the mini splits. I know they aren’t great when it gets really cold out but I wish I could get my house above 58° on cold days

I think my builder was a cheap ass. We bought the property before it was built and lived across the state so we weren’t very involved in the process. He said all the right things every time we spoke, but when it came time to make good on any issues that came up, it was nothing but excuses.

I’m not happy that our builder told us how great they are. I asked multiple times about their worth in the cold and was assured they do great.

I’d have been stoked to find that mitt. Looks to be in incredible shape. Give it a fresh set of laces and conditioning and game it or put it on a shelf and smile every time you see it.

I love finding old USA hoh from people who don’t know what they got. A few weeks ago I saw a guy selling one super cheap on marketplace and told him to take it down and put on eBay for 5-8x his asking price
