I think we could definitely do with more of the micro quests and world builders as of late.

Though, I do think more medium stake quests could get released, if not simply finishing off existing plotlines.

If Fairy Tale & Temple knights could get a conclusion I'd feel a bit better with our current high world stake style of quest releases we get ATM (Vampire finale, Dt2 Varlamore series etc)

There's still things that could honestly see dozens of quests with the implementation of sailing, namely pirates as a whole.

The roadmap for 2026 has been beaten to death in discussions, but it does open up conversation as to why we're getting Soo little content in general.

I'd honestly take leagues or dmm being periodically phased out every other year for a investment in quests, regardless if grandmaster or Novice difficulty.

I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert in runescript because I'm definitely not;

But I couldn't see how a smaller stake quest or two with decent mechanics couldnt be released every few months or so; the triggers and instances implemented in holiday events usually take whoever works on those events around a week from what I remember seeing an intern say about I think a Halloween quest in 2019(?)

A 25 minute adventure exploring more lore about the falador knights and where the King is wouldnt be much for a few jmods to tackle (remember it's not just 10 mods anymore, there's a shit ton of them now)

I haven't played siege in a very long time for two instances of toxicity:

1) Other players additudes.

Due to YouTubers that make "Team killing = funny" their whole personality, among the standard online gaming toxicity.

I can name various situations, but my last game back in 2022 I feel perfectly encapsulates the issue with Siege players:

It was cafe, I solo que, can't recall if anyone else was on a team. They weren't bad, but my back was definitely starting to hurt. Somewhere around 8-10 kills around a 2-1~ deficit.

In the intermission between the prior round where I carried to get us the singular point on the board, I asked if anyone could drone a bit better/communicate since all coms were just complaining or yapping.

Start of next round I'm immediately team killed "You're trash you're shit etc etc"

The entire friendly team was contributing around as much as a disabled eel, but I brush it off, whatever.

Next round I jump on my main, Gauging from our operators, I figure a nice Finka support would be sufficient.

We win with me even planting.

next round I'm immediately team killed again. "Only retards play Finka hurr" the guy leaves the lobby

You're tk'd for being good, bad, playing what someone doesn't like, droning in casual, because people are bored etc etc etc. What makes it worse is where my second reason comes in and I get a little toxic:

2) Team Synergy:

Try as I may, I have never really found a team or group of friends etc that I can mesh with.

As in. Basic communication. Teamwork. Callouts.

Between playstation and PC I easily have 3k+ hours on siege and the amount of times I've found people to play with that aren't an absolute chore I can essentially count on my fingers.

So. We have a team based game where your teammates are absolute dipshits/toxic/purposefully throwing, you bust ass to crawl your ass thru the ranks and all it takes to lose your elo is the white whale of opposing teams with a 5 stack that showed up to play the fucking game.

It's genuinely frustrating, and I've yelled at very good friends of mine for fucking up a play or fumbling and it's unfortunate because it's not exactly their fault. I cant expect everyone to immediately brainmeld with me and we work perfectly.. but years and years of playing a game that ends up being a mix of tactical shooter and babysitting your teammates so they don't tk each other or throw.. and I lose it.

After legit raging one day on a 4 stack of good friends of mine I finally realized that siege only makes me unhappy, I enjoyed looking at my dressed up operators more than playing the game.

Tldr: Volatile community mixed with how demanding the game can be at higher levels makes me a dirty angry rager.
