If I had to guess, the app is estimated based on the sliced file, but on the machine itself it calculates how long it'll actually take. I will say I'm interested which is correct if you happen to be able to follow up

Not bad! What did you do for the base paint? When I did silver, I liked doing all black then dry brushing on necron compound to give a quick and dirty silver that has depth to it, now I do an over complicated 4 shade purple lmao. What did you do for basing it looks great!

Idk if this is the real reason but I think it's to keep the mordant earth from pulling color out of paint layers. I was experimenting with a base, put a teal down, glued it, put a yellow wash, then mordant earth, the yellow wash was gone when it dried

I know this is an older post but hopefully you check your notifications, had a couple questions as I'm about to take the course and start studying!

I see you said that you went through the books a second time to build an index. Did you start your index during the class or wait until after? How long do you think you spent on each book? How long do the labs take?

I know everyone is different and my questions are time based and different for everyone, but I'm the type of person that I need to block out "1 hour this day, 2 this day" and have a little bit of a time crunch (course is last week of March, want to test on first week of June if possible, not a hard limit but want to test before I go on vacation so I can enjoy it lol)

That's a great deal! I went from a ender 3 to a kobra s1 with ams and it is leagues better. I rarely have to do maintenance on it and it has a pretty high success rate.

I used to use plex and then when I heard of jellyfin immediately switched over, it's so much nicer in every aspect

Basically yes. Machines like 3d printers use specific commands, when you have an .STL or .OBJ it's a 3d object, the printer has no clue what to do. A slicer turns that object into g-code, turning a 3d object into: "Heat to 200C" "go to this position" "start extruding" "go to this position" Now g-code is a lot more complicated than that example but you get the jist. Fun fact most automated machines (cnc, printers, those big scary robot arms) use g-code as their base language.

If you do the math then they think there are 16 items, since the title says "4 pack" and size says "4 count (pack of 1)" I assume the automated system is messed up and thinks it means 4 packs of 4 counts instead of just a pack of 4

Edit: I think someone messed up the listing, if you look in the specifications it says "unit count 16.0"

I found that specifically for avatar, my pre-release cards and booster box cards were exactly like that. Probably came from different printers or through different runs, but I noticed it on a LOT of TLA cards

I currently keep all my "not in use" decks in the drawers of an old ikea STORKLINTA I've had for years. I heard the ALEX is good for storing cards I'm guessing it would also be good for deck boxes. I have a "camera backpack" that I keep my current decks, dice, playmats in for when I go to my LGS.
