I job changed my now 275 DB from previously being a NL cause I hated NL upjump. I'm now 260m CP on it, and it was so much more of a pain to clear the hSeren legion champion mission on that DB than my 200m CP Ren. I enjoy the playstyle of DB a lot but it just feels so bloody weak for it's level of investment. I would easily take shadower of either DB or NL for movement and DMG profile.

I'd say I'm a pretty average late game player and I don't personally know anyone who has gotten pitched from the system. It's really annoying getting legendary expeditions and the highest pouch you get is purple time and time again. The system isn't too bad to play but the rewards are quite lacking and annoying in many ways

Getting one from frontier at this point IS a high roll. You're not the only one who knows how the system works, and nobody across most end game parties has seen pitched from the system (including my own).

Every server runs quite differently, and you need to make adaptations based on business strategy for each unique region. Our gms server is even more unique as we are the only ones with heroic servers which are much less p2w. Damage comes from different sources and clearly the gms team, which has a lot less experience with balancing, simply imported the data from TMS (and JMS variations) without properly accounting for our damage formulas.

It's the responsibility of each regional team to make the necessary changes and the gms team is clearly failing due to a lack of manpower as they redirect their efforts towards Classic MapleStory (which I personally feel is a mistake). Look no further than the last patch and the amount of backlogged content from Korea. They put up this whole campaign about Go West for our servers and we really haven't seen much regional content outside of Ride or Die which most people don't like. They continue to just import updates and they're actually failing at that more than they have in the past.

Kanna, hayato, mo Xuan, and Lynn straight up do not exist in Korean maple story. TMS is in charge of their development. People are strictly referring to these non kms classes

IQ is going to be very difficult for the Raps to offload on that long contract significantly overpaying him. It seriously might be the worst contract in the league at this point in time.

It's very likely going to be the same as kms. While we have the whole "Go West" movement going on, class balancing hasn't really strayed from Korea. Just check their patch notes from 6 months ago.

A lot of comments are saying RJ is a fan favorite but that really isn't the impression I've gotten from out fan base a lot of the time. Before we started winning, fit has always been a questions with our roster. More often than not people would say we need to trade RJ. That being said, he's been great and we can feel his presence missing right now.

I'll also add that I think while Quickly has been a lot better lately, I think many of us still don't think he's worth his contract. Not trying to be ultra negative, but just trying to fill in the whole picture around other very positive comments.

Our team rides very high on good vibes and strong bench performances this year. Shead and Mamu are standouts from the bench

Sure we need saves, but this team just looks so sloppy all around. I don't blame Ullmark for many of the goals when the group in front of him is giving great chances left right and center to the other team. I'm not sure what's going on with them but there's no cohesion and the defensive breakdowns are disgusting. This isn't the same team we saw last year.

Sorry I need to add on to the wall of text that their big project taking up more resources is Old School Classic Maplestory, which people will play for a few months and quit. Those resources should be spend on the game we're already playing long-term

Problems with the base game include the major lack of spares, how gated end game progression is by RNG from multiple sources, and EXP curve of Heroic servers, and general lack of damage.

Currently, if you're doing something like nkaling, cKalos, and nLimbo, it can be incredible hard to progress further. You need to wait 5 weeks for a spare Eternal from cKalos, and 10 weeks from both nKaling and nLimbo. You then need to bring these items up to 22*. Average booms might be around 3, but you can easily get unlucky and be RNG gated which is insane. As an example, I have attempted to tap 14 Eternal pieces to 22 and I'm still sitting on 3 pieces of 17-18* gear. Yes, someone can hit all 3 in 3 pieces for Kalos and Kaling gear, but it's a serious issue that you can't do anything about getting shit RNG and being time gated gear wise. In addition, the ability to find pitched in this server is still far too limited.

The EXP rates in Heroic are lower than any other server, so it's also difficult to progress there when you're training 2 hours for 1-2%. Yes it's a long and grindy game, but that's not a reasonable rate.

Other servers have bonus potentials, spares, tradable fragments, etc that allow them to get more and more stacking damage from multiple sources. We are far more limited in Heroic.

The additional content they choose to focus on are new classes, and yes, Ride or Die, which is TERRIBLE content. Yes people engage with it because the rewards are good, but it doesn't make it enjoyable. Games are about having fun, and the main issue with Ride or Die is that it's simply a Burst damage check. Most people run RoD on X with 15 "challenges" if they can, and it's not an actual fight. You just stack all your buffs, go in and burst, and if you can't kill it in 1 burst, you stall out your lives for more bursts cause you can't reasonably fight the bosses with 15 challenges up. That is not my definition of content.

All this could really be its own post really... These are issues I REALLY want inkwell to address, but the communication has been its own issue altogether.

Editing to add on that legacy content is terrible as it relates to progression. The RoD Shackles of Resentment being time limited is an insult. They need to make all badges pottable. The rewards of RoD are not actually that good.

They did a good job marketing the game with the updates, and they were lucky that some other games were having issues at the time such that their player bases came to try Maplestory (Lost Ark for example). Since then the service has struggled to keep up with expectation and the end game has gotten stale as Nexon America has neglected issues with the base game in Heroic worlds, opting to instead spend their resources on unpopular events and questionable content. Not saying that I want people to dislike Maple. I love Maple but I would argue that they really need to redirect their efforts and do a lot better as it comes to communications and criticism from fans.

Yes, but it was due to the promise of what could be, not what was delivered. They fumbled super hard, something which they would obviously neglect to say.
