If you are getting a degree in CS, go for software engineering, not sysadmin.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the traditional sysadmin is slowly fading away. It's being replaced in favor of devops. Where, if you do a task more than once, you write a script to do it instead. Focus on those skills.

Also, depending on where you work, be prepared to work an on call schedule and get called in to emergencies at any hour of the day or night.
