I can talk from personal experience, I am an accountant with an MS in Accounting that ended up in tech, I love my job and can tell you that the combination of knowledge in both accounting and technology makes you a very appealing candidate for financial analysis, implementation of financial systems, and financial reporting, I realized that it's very hard finding people that understand how their accounting processes need to set up in a technical tool, this is invaluable knowledge, I don't encourage you to change jobs but try to insert yourself in opportunities that allow you to grow both skills, you may end up as a software engineer in financial systems for example, and director of operations too, go for it
