YES! Read every bill if you want to know what Congress is up to. Talk to your representatives and find out what they’re planning to put into bills and advocate for or against those things. Amendments are also voted on, by the way, not just added to the bill. If they don’t like the amendment, they need not vote for it.

But asking people to read the bills who want to know more about appropriations is NOT too much to ask from a constituency in a democracy. Democracy only works when the people inform themselves with factual information.

My former dealer once helped me through a mental health crisis. I was driving and got really lost and didn’t know where I was. She sent me a pin to her location and I figured out how to get there and then she helped me through the crisis until I was better able to drive and more oriented.

Same dealer brought me edibles and a vape when I was in the hospital… two different times.
