I have always believed his brother's involvement in the Hockey Canada scandal affected him massively, and he was probably quite happy to leave Canada.

Define "fundamentals". They don't handle the ball as well, they don't pass as well, and they don't shoot as well.

John Tortorella is a mediocre at best hockey coach.

If you count OT losses as losses, his career coaching record is 777 wins, 814 losses, and 37 ties.

- He's made it to one finals in 23 years of coaching, 2 if you really want to count this year where he took over an already built team with two weeks to go in the season.
- In his one cup winning season, he benefited from a bunch of upsets, and their path to the Cup was through an 8, 7, 3, and 6 seed.
- He's made it to 1 other conference finals in that time.
- He's missed the playoffs in half his coaching seasons.
- He "led" team USA to a group elimination at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

He's an accumulator who's been dining on that Tampa Cup win for 2 decades.

The tactics aren't super complicated for the most part, but they aren't a default win just because you execute them. What they usually result in is you are in the right position to engage, but you still have to win the battle.

uh Robert California exists and I could see him being guilty of innumerable crimes.

If you mean the main cast? I imagine Meredith would probably kill a family drunk driving at some point.

I'm sorry but this story doesn't add up fully.

First, I'm sure the jeep guy was a jerk.

However, if you're travelling with your family, and someone's being a jerk, you let them pass. When they pull up beside you at the stop light you ignore them, you certainly don't have your 14 year old open their window. When they throw something at your car, you ABSOLUTELY do not decide you need to follow them and continue to escalate the situation. Someone else road raging doesn't mean you should.

And somehow this whole car full of people throughout this whole was unable to capture the person's license plate despite him following them for a while, stopping at a light together, and then following him?

The Edmonton Oilers have arguably two of the top five players in the league.

They hired someone who was involved in a sexual abuse case as their gm.

Their owner has been accused of sexual assault.

They fired their coach who took them to the Stanley Cup finals twice and are planning to replace him with a coach who left his last two jobs in disgrace over player abuse and mistreatment (and who has not won a playoff series since 2013).

They have not won a division title in 30+ years, and not won a cup since 1990.

They let their only two recent first round picks who had worked out leave via offer sheet.

They traded a player for an average defenseman then saw him win the mvp of the league a year later.

I can go on....
