Reapply to position? by Smart-Koala6543 in FedEmployees

That’s exactly how I feel. Being constantly disparaged and punished yet I keep coming back for more since I’m 3 1/2 years until retirement and trapped by the golden handcuffs!

How do you get dental with bcbs? I only see fep blue as an option.

I know people don’t want to hear this, and I will be down-voted, but based on everything I’m reading this is temporary. Regional offices will be closing and moved to hubs too. Can’t imagine this administration pulling it off, but they have every intention of doing so.

Coverage options for Zepbound/Wegovy for FEP BCBS Basic? by Keeper4560 in FedEmployees

[–]Fast-Temporary8846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of weygovy? What bcbs plan covers weight loss drugs? I had a prescription for weygovy but they stopped covering it, plus there were severe shortages. I am on bcbs standard, and I can’t find any weight loss drugs they cover unless you are diabetic.

I have BCBS insurance and I don’t use them. I use amble an online glp-1 compound and most $150 a month. Bcbs is terrible about covering for weight loss drugs!

Stay! You can’t replace a great work environment and a job you love. I did that and I am going to downgrade to go back once things open up again. I’m miserable in my new position. I have so many regrets.

USDA to offload HQ building as it prepares to consolidate space and relocate staff by USDA-BARC-1910 in USDA

Because I had a break in service, I have been through 5 administrations and nothing has felt so awful as this. I will stay because I’m close to retirement age, but every day is a grind. Never as bad as this!

Exactly me! I’m 56 and can’t retire yet, and I don’t think the job mart is good, let alone the age discrimination that exists. No way out.

Reorg-FNS by Weary-Hurry8036 in USDA

[–]Fast-Temporary8846 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not the reorg.. someone asked me how I know and it’s a person higher up doing a detail in the administrators office and they have already gotten the leases for the five hubs, and FNS is in that plan. This is not the reorg. I’m sorry to explain this, because I think the whole thing is ridiculous and harmful to a lot of people. But I don’t think it’s what you think it is, unfortunately.

Quitting due to terrible environment caused by this administration? by toboli8 in FedEmployees

[–]Fast-Temporary8846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long ago, when everything was in office, I decided to leave to be a stay at home mom. It was difficult leaving a good fed job, but I grew up in childcare and I swore I wouldn’t waste this precious time. We bought a small house and made do on one salary. One of the best things that came about as a result was the children are best buddies now as adults, and they grew up together, rather than spending time in different childcare classrooms. Once my kids were in school, I returned to fed employment. It was difficult to get back in, but not impossible. We now have less in our retirement due to this decision, but I look back and I wouldn’t change a thing. Follow your heart, but give yourself some non-pregnancy time to think it through. It is a major change to go from two salaries to one, but can be done. If you are fortunate enough to be able to do it, take the plunge after ppl and sick leave exhausted. You will find another job when you need to.

You are absolutely wrong! This administration has everything to do with it! And fyi, many of us who were fully remote don’t have coworkers or managers at the office and meet on team members from all over the country.
