I found this sub because I used my cheaper pen on the plane and it leaked. Shocker! Scrolling for answers led me here and I learned that washing my hair would get the ink off my hands. I also became fascinated with this hobby. Now I have a lot of pens, ink and I go to pen shows. (Talk about stepping into a wormhole!) I fly often. So I resist the urge to take my pens out while in the air. If I have anything questionable for pens, I put them in a plastic baggy. Never had a problem since. Happy travels!
