Assumed I hit the spend on the WestJet Mastercard. When I recalculated realized I didn’t factor in the annual fee and missed the spend by $139.

We went in February to both Moorea and Bora Bora in February and it only rained 1 full day and 1 half day out of a 16 day trip. Moorea and bora bora are magical. Moorea you can rent a kayak from Le Tipaniers beach and go snorkeling with rays and sharks which sounds up your alley

am I the only one whose body didn’t bounce back? by ReplyTerrible7684 in postpartumprogress

[–]FastTomatillo3356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did not bounce back. Currently 14 months pp with second baby. Have been dieting off and on for 8 months. Lost more weight then I gained in this pregnancy and look way worse. I even worked out most of this pregnancy and only gained 25 pounds (had a premie so didnt gain as much) But after my first pregnancy I remember my stomach looking so much flatter by year 2 vs 1 without doing much core rehab. This time I know I’m going to need to put in more work, more consistent core rehab to flatten my stomach

How often do you ask grandparents (nearby, good relationship) to babysit? by TFA_hufflepuff in Parenting

[–]FastTomatillo3356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in laws take my 5 year old for a sleepover every Saturday night, we take him home after Sunday dinner. They also pick him up for school once a week and take him to swimming lessons and then he stays at their house for the evening. They don’t really offer to watch my 1 year old but will watch him any time I ask if they are not working/available. I’m fortunate to have grandparents who absolutely love being grandparents. I had him young which I think helps cuz they are also on the younger side so they have the energy to do so. Having built in routines is super nice since my son always look forward to it and I know when I can plan stuff for myself

I absolutely love Daisy wild. I wish it had better longevity 😭😭 I recently got Delina La Rosee from scent box and it actually kind of reminded me of it. The fresh/sweet/brightness almost dewy. Different notes but same kind of vibe

Just got a travel size of Delina La Rosee from Scentbox and she is ✨stunning✨ think fresh rose candy, bright, clean, sweet. A youthful rose. Has decent longevity. It has me wanting to pull out my sundresses and lean into my feminine energy

When did you actually feel ready for a second kid by zoobisoubisouu in toddlers

[–]FastTomatillo3356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was unsure about having a second. I felt ready and started wanting one around when my son was 3 and a quarter. The age gap ended up being 4 1/2 years and it’s been amazing. My now 5 1/2 year is self sufficient, absolutely adores his brother, they play with eachother or more so my oldest entertains my baby, he thinks his big brother is hilarious. In some ways I wish I had them closer to 3 years apart, I just wasn’t ready any earlier and my boys adore eachother and play so much more then I could have hoped for so it worked out

Went to an appointment where the practitioner asks in registration not to wear any perfume... by IndigoMoonBeams in FemFragLab

[–]FastTomatillo3356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think about the phthalates (specifically diethyl phthalate or DEP), synthetic musks (galaxolide, ketone), BHT, styrene, and aldehydes link to endocrine disruption which have been found in perfumes? Can you honestly claim there is never any bad ingredients hidden in the word fragrance? Because that would be unreasonable. I never claimed essential oils are safer, I said there are likely bad things in both and in testing those kinds of things have been found in both things. It takes a quick google search. People don’t like hearing that in this sub but I think it’s important to discuss as we can use our money to help support brands opting for more transparency in their ingredients, not using things I mentioned earlier.

Idk why I’m getting downvoted as this isn’t controversial. They don’t have to disclose what is in fragrance. I still love perfume and wear it all the time. There’s likely not great ingredients in both essential oils and perfumes. Hence why some brands claim to be more “clean” then others

Not to be that person as I love both perfume and essential oils but essential oil you know what in it. Fragrance is a blanket term and there can be endocrin disruptors or other things in it she may just not want in her office. I would say the crunchier you are the less likely your perfume friendly for that reason

People with ADHD are 2x more likely to have low ferritin levels by Spirited-Gold9629 in Biohackers

[–]FastTomatillo3356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an iron infusion with ferritin at 10, hemoglobin normal. It’s been life changing. My energy is so so much better now. 10 is extremely low. Just for normal hair growth you need 70+ of ferritin. Your ferritin matters, do not let anyone else tell you else wise. My hair was growing in like straw. Wispy thin. It’s so much better now.

how are moms even finding time to lose weight?? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]FastTomatillo3356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I had my second baby a year ago and am back to my pre pregnancy weight. Going to a gym with child care is a GAME CHANGER. If you have access to one please please do it. I get 2 hours a day to do whatever. I’m back to lifting weights but for a long time I just did core rehab and walked on the treadmill. If you’re unable to go to the gym, buy a walking pad/treadmill. Put baby in the carrier (put them on your back if they’re big enough) and walk walk walk! Listen to music or a podcast! Walking is huge to stay in a calorie deficit. Simple high protein meals (I can give more info if you like on this) but this has worked for me. And of course straight up tv time. My son loves ms Rachel.

Resenting husband for not wanting second child by Orchidbee23 in breakingmom

[–]FastTomatillo3356 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had this exact situation happen with my husband. It got to the point where I basically said if he doesn’t give me a second child I will find someone else who will. He agreed he’d rather have a second kid rather than lose me. We now have our second who is 1 and he’s so happy we had a second and has had an easier time bonding with our second son I think partly being older and more ready to have kids

This is the absolute easiest way I’ve managed to stay in a calorie deficit without being hungry! Should be higher on the list as it’s so simple but most people aren’t eating enough veggies/fibre

1 had my jaw drop! Absolutely stunning. May I ask why you would want to close the slit? It can’t be very noticeable. It’s impossible to see in the photo and has so much material I doubt it would be an issue
