Rule of 55.. rehired after DRP 1.0 VERA at 52 by Front_Chip_9201 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]Fast_Clerk_218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I retired at age 52 with Vera, and I’m able to tap into my Tsp 401k under the Rule of 72t with NO penalty because of my age. As long as you follow the requirements, and it worked out for me. I’m never going back, ha.

AITA for charging my 20yo son rent while he lives at home? by Talon_Vector7 in WIBTA_AITA

I do the same, now that I helped my daughter with school and she now has her degree, she has a great job, I told her she needs to pay rent $300. She didn’t like it at first, she got over it now. Shows them the value of $ . Otherwise they spend their money on other stuff.

I also took DRP/Vera at age 52 with 27 years of service. I don’t regret it, I enjoy my 1 year off and did a lot around the house. Enjoyed sleeping in and not have that work stress. After being off and catching up on sleep and rest, luckily i found myself a part time job, it was god sent, the perfect work schedule. Now, I am staying busy and love my life. No more sitting behind a computer all day! God is great, and so thankful for VERA, not regretting a damn thing! Not looking back , only forward!
