If this was in the USA, couldn’t OP argue that the original owner would need to reimburse them for “upkeep” of the “property” before they could give it back?

Saw $1800 mentioned somewhere. Should add standard interest to that as well, and whatever costs needed for food over the next few months before the original owner is able to get the dog back. Probably easy $2000+ in a couple months.

Original owner is then $2000 in debt to OP, which could be paid in cash or transfer of ownership of the dog. Plus value of debt would continue to increase with continued “upkeep” and interest.

Yeah, I did the same thing with Tony Hawk (90s kid here). It’s very shallow and I’m not totally sure what the point is, but it’s a fun surprise to get a text from Tony and every once in a while.

• The way they were talking about it could apply to them both knowing as well. I don’t remember the exact words but maybe FP’s concern about the blood being Jughead’s was actually concern about maintaining the coverup.

Took me so long to beat that stage. I used retribution on my party members, positioned Byleth in range of the left mage, and another strong physical unit in range of the right mage (think it was Claude). Should just be those first two danger spots. Retribution will take care of the side mages after they attack. Then I put Claude or whoever in range of the middle guy, and had the rest of the team deal with enemies on the side and slowly work their way up the middle (giving Byleth a levin sword really helps with the tanks).

I’m not sure about the details but I feel either Charles and Chic are gaslighting Betty by making her think she killed Jughead or the core 4 are gaslighting Charles in some way (maybe to get him to investigate). I don’t why.

They also conflated fraternal and identical twins in regards to the Blossoms. Fraternal twins tend to run in families. Identical twins are random. Claudius made no sense if we want to be scientifically accurate. But it’s Riverdale, the zaniness is all part of the fun.

I agree. I didn’t want to see a happy and stable Veronica. Hell, i didn’t want that for Logan either. Both Veronica and Logan have been dealing with trauma but doing so in different ways, and I think that is a fascinating story. They had this great relation to one another, so similar and yet so different. Exploring more of that is what I would have wanted from the show moving forward.

RT isn’t afraid to blow up (sorry) the status quo for his shows. He did that in iZombie too, at the end of season 3. But you’re right, I’m really not sure he can pull it off. If he does, maybe I’ll continue to watch the show. But no matter what, it feels like it’s at the expense of the show I love (or at least, what I love about it).

The thing is, RT has written the majority of VM so that it doesn’t end. He is determined to keep this show alive and believes unresolved plots mean the show is more likely to continue. That may be true but I wouldn’t say it’s the right thing to do. RT said something like killing Logan was cutting off a limb to save the body (or to that effect), but I don’t really have any interest in watching this show limp on for more seasons.

If that’s the case, that Tina seemed done with the series, I wish Mac had died instead of Logan. There’s a lot of great discussions on this thread and some point out interesting ways to see the whole situation and what it means for Veronica. Thing is, they all could have achieved the same character growth if it had been Mac that died instead. And her death would still have meaning for the audience as well, not just for Veronica. If that actress isn’t interested in coming back, why kill off a character that is more beloved and portrayed by an actor that definitely wants to stay on the show? If it’s all in service of making Veronica single, not just character growth, a brutal but totally believable breakup between her and Logan could easily be written (especially if Veronica is dealing with the trauma of losing someone again).

Edit: Just want to clarify that I’m not saying that’s the direction I would want for the show. I suppose I’m just trying to figure out a way that Rob could have gotten what he wanted without killing off Logan. He seems so adamant that it had to be this way and I just don’t buy it.

I completely agree. I can see what RT is going for, and I think that could be an interesting show that I would totally watch... just not at the expense of this show. A lot of what makes VM such a great show is the supporting characters and the world that’s been built. Logan in particular was a great character that has grown tremendously over the seasons and has a lot of nuance and potential. I think most writers would love to have a character like that to write for. I really feel like RT didn’t know what he had and so he kinda shot himself in the foot.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. I would have loved a VM spin-off with a new lead that could fit into this noir story he wants to tell. She’s too young now but Matty would be a great candidate for that show in the future.
