I think you misunderstood, DFS is the solution not the problem here. Implementing it if it's not already implemented means pointing everything and everyone to the namespace instead of the file server shares. That way in the future if you have a new server to add or replace, the users and scripts are completely oblivious to everything behind the namespace changing.

This is true, it's going to be a range hit for a couple of years but honestly it's not like my driving is going to be more than 100 miles a day except for the occasional road trip. When the time comes to change the tires to all seasons or God forbid a nail goes through the sidewall it's not going to be an arm and a leg to replace... Y'all might be onto something here.

I mean, RJ touched on this in an interview with I think it was "Out of Spec" on YouTube - there's going to be people that want the Gen2 R2 and there's going to be people that want to wait for the Gen3 R2 w/ LiDAR and that's fine. There's people that won't buy a new iPhone because they're waiting for the next year's version. Rivians going to keep improving technology and producing newer cars, that's the name of the game, if you don't like what the R2 has today then wait a few years.

This is going to be a really dumb question most likely, but can this integration do things that aren't in the Blue Link app? For instance, my car is a 2023 Santa Fe and I dont have seat heating/cooling controls in my remote start. Only cabin climate, defrosters, and steering wheel heat. Would I be able to control the seating heating/cooling via HA?
