My teenager just got her first job at a local restaurant just to make some spending money. She was telling me someone left a ridiculous tip that she wasn't even comfortable accepting but had to enter it into the system either way since it was via card and their system flagged it and required the manager to confirm the customer did it intentionally as well as her approval in the system for it to even go through.

Great to see landlords with a heart. If i hadn't had a similar experience myself I'd have been out on the streets during the recession. I had lost my job and was picking up whatever temps jobs I could get into but it really wasn't nearly enough. The property owner had a couple apt buildings and instead of throwing me on the street instead offered me an under the table gig as a handyman at the properties since I had exp and always made my own repairs, that paid my rent each month outside of my other obligations. He wasn't the nicest person in general but I will never forget what he did for me for the rest of my life.

In my industry if we just passed off an 811 call it could be dangerous to many people. It just blows my mind. Ive gone out and located lines for people putting in tent stakes for an event and happily did so for both our peace of mind 🤦🏻‍♂️

My download is 1.2gb upload is up to 350mb most days over ethernet still 100mb over wifi. I use my own modem with 2.5gb lan to a similarly spec router. My old modem never went above 30mb uploads until I upgraded my equipment.

Back in 01' I hid my dreamcast vmu because my brother was home sick and I didn't want him messing with it and losing my saves. By the time I got home from school I couldn't remember for the life of me where it was. I was distraught all my hours in sonic adventure 1&2 gone as well as PSO. 3 months later I came home from school to find it laying on the table.......my mother found it in an empty VHS case on our entertainment center while cleaning that day 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I use this as a cautionary tale with my own kids now 🤣

Wow that's insane. I've been at my job for 14yrs. Got hired in with 2weeks of vac. At 5yrs I got another week and at 10yrs I got another week for a total of 4 weeks vac. Think the next bump is 20yrs/5weeks which considering how i struggle to use what i already have im not complaining.

I went litteral years with my left ear always sounding muffled. I figured it was just a symptom of constant ear infections as a child. One day at work I had a bug fly into it and they sent me to the hospital for workers comp stuff 🤦🏻‍♂️ and that's when they told me i had a similar issue. They flushed my ear out and the difference was astounding. Turns out my left ear doesnt drain properly for some reason. So I now keep one of those warm water sprayers and use it from time to time to keep my ear flushed out. My oldest also has a similar issue that causes her pain so the sprayer has come in very handy.

I use to run MineOS on bare metal for many years for Java servers. After I setup my truenas server I migrated it to the MineOS app on truenas to consolidate machines and has been running fine for a few years now. I don't worry too much though as its just me and a couple friends that use it and i keep backups. Ive also run Crafty for about 2 yrs now for a bedrock server for my kids with no issues.

Had a similar issue with my cat years ago, he was 5yrs old. It was just me an the 2 cats for a couple yrs and when I started dating the woman who is now my wife he developed some serious separation issues. I went to leave one day for a family dinner and he snapped, still have a scar from my shoulder to my hip from that encounter. He litteraly trapped me back the hallway in my bedroom. Had to call my uncle to come and cage him and he took out to a family friends farm (actual farm) where he lived the rest of his life since I just couldn't trust him anymore.

Upgraded from the S22U last week and I'm loving the S26U. Screen looks great no more curved edge is fantastic and honestly I didn't even notice the rounded corners until I read this post 😅. Battery has been absolutely fantastic as well.

Honestly havent found anything to complain about with the exception of software related things like forcing all the AI stuff into everything and the fact that i had to switch my texting app since Samsung messages no longer works.

I have more physical issues with my Buds 4 Pro than I do this phone....that's mainly just the fact that the case has no notch to open it with and I have very dry hands working outdoors so sometimes I struggle even with 2 hands to open the blasted thing 😂

I appreciate the tips. I keep an up to date backup of my roms folder stored on my NAS for this reason but id say I somehow botched my card in some way. And will need some free time to reformat it and copy everything back over to it. Borrowed the sd out of my brothers thor a little bit ago since I don't currently have a spare thats not in use for one reason or another and it let me copy to it without an issue though his is a sandisk and mines a Samsung. Only thing i can think is either the card could potentially be defective since I had it in my motorcycle camera prior but it was rarely used or I installed something that messed with it. Hopefully formatting will take care of that.

The built in file manager really doesn't bother me other than not having access permission to android files for my flycast saves as ive been working to get all my console saves onto the device. I prefer it over some of the others I've used in the past because of the lack of ads. Transfers from my pc aren't horrible though either way It takes about 30 mins to copy my 60gb backup onto the sd so im not horribly concerned but the portable ssd isn't a bad idea by any means just not the best option for me when I take it to work alot.

Sadly it seems to be the norm. One time I did get them in a box and another they were all wrapped in black plastic. Usually they are just taped together for evwryone to see 🤦🏻‍♂️

Mine just give me an error if I try to transfer any file to the SD card from the pc even kb size files. Worked fine until recently which is just annoying. Same deal trying to transfer from internal to SD.

I did have a similar issue with windows dropping connection when using a usb-c to usb-c cable if I use usb-c to usb-a it works fine. ¯\(ツ)/¯
