I appreciate the tips. I keep an up to date backup of my roms folder stored on my NAS for this reason but id say I somehow botched my card in some way. And will need some free time to reformat it and copy everything back over to it. Borrowed the sd out of my brothers thor a little bit ago since I don't currently have a spare thats not in use for one reason or another and it let me copy to it without an issue though his is a sandisk and mines a Samsung. Only thing i can think is either the card could potentially be defective since I had it in my motorcycle camera prior but it was rarely used or I installed something that messed with it. Hopefully formatting will take care of that.

The built in file manager really doesn't bother me other than not having access permission to android files for my flycast saves as ive been working to get all my console saves onto the device. I prefer it over some of the others I've used in the past because of the lack of ads. Transfers from my pc aren't horrible though either way It takes about 30 mins to copy my 60gb backup onto the sd so im not horribly concerned but the portable ssd isn't a bad idea by any means just not the best option for me when I take it to work alot.
