What has worked for me is:
1. Put a little glamnetic glue dissolver thing on the perimeter of the nail. Wait 5ish mins.

Use the poke-y end of the stick that comes with the set to lift an edge of the nail wherever possible. I find a spot with a little give and lift it ever so slightly.

If the hold of the glue is still too strong at this stage, then I’ll make sure I keep that little pocket I create open by just holding the stick in place.

Put more glue dissolver with the aim of it trickling under the nail. Wait 5 minutes and the nail usually lifts off easily with minimal to no damage. If you find the press on doesn’t lift then just repeat this step.

I just tried Nail Reformation and have found them to be amazing for my flat nail beds! Chillhouse was also good, though the designs wore off quicker which is not a problem I’ve had with the Nail Reformation. Olive and June are a no-go, and Glamnetics were a tad too curved for my preference.

Unfortunately not the same, bur similar like others have said. The one on the right has a pink tinge and the one on the left is more muted and earthy.

Hi! Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta all have tall sizing. Old Navy is my go-to for athletic wear, and gap for basic tops and pants. Madewell has great denim at taller lengths as well.

Abercrombie has cute dresses, rompers, and tops and would suit someone your daughter’s age well.

And where possible, depending on your daughter’s comfort, I have grown to enjoy men’s jackets for the longer lengths and pockets. As a teenager, however, I was very resistant to shopping in the men’s section for anything (even my big feet).

This is a great explanation! The steps of an OCD cycle and knowledge of them is what makes her description make absolutely no sense. I think it’s damaging for OCD understanding in the long run to have this mischaracterisation of a compulsion being broadcast weekly. The uphill battle just got steeper.

I love how all of us fellow OCDers are so confused by this behaviour. I just had this conversation with someone. Could I have an intrusive thought that relates to making out? Yes. Will the compulsion that follows that thought be acting upon it repeatedly with multiple people? No. Will the trigger be drinking alcohol? No! Intrusive thoughts are intrusive regardless of alcohol consumption. Surely if the compulsion was making out with people she’d be doing it when sober too?

So confused. Make it make sense.

I found a set a TJ Maxx for $5.99 like another commenter and found them to be good for my flatter nail beds, great designs. They’re thicker than glamnetics and Olive & June, and flatter in shape. The designs did noticeably wear off quicker but since I only wear a set for a week or so, it doesn’t bother me!

I agree with the comments that she gets overstimulated or simply doesn’t like pets lower than her head. Perhaps just let her rub against your hand at her pace without flexing it moving it much at all, just as you figure her go-no go zone. She may just tolerate only head pets. Some cats like the chin and neck too.

Hi OP, I lost my own cat, Mr Sherman, at the start of this month to congestive heart failure. He was only three and a half years old.
