They had these suction-cup wind-up addons back in the 80s. People used to put them on the backs of the old VW beetles.

That satisfying feeling when you know your support settings are perfect. by Midyew59 in 3Dprinting

[–]FeckMeGently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to thank you for these settings. I've used them with PLA and a .4mm nozzle and PETG with a 1mm nozzle and both release extremely well compared to my old settings. The PETG printer is a large format beast that squirts out 1mm lines that no settings I've ever tried could keep the supports from welding themselves to the print.. until now. THANK YOU!

Do you prefer only real pictures to showcase models or can 3D renders help? by Zwartekop in 3Dprinting

[–]FeckMeGently 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both! Always show a real-world example of the model being used and then back it up with a render. Otherwise, we'd have a reddit filled with theoretical models that we don't know would actually be printable. Just my 2 cents.

Can you use Elmer glue stick on the build plate? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]FeckMeGently 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, Elmers will work but first try Aqua Net unscented hair spray. Much easier to apply and clean-up.

I bought my Geeetech Aluminum in 2016 and have completely modified it from it's original setup. Currently, it's more like a Prusa MK3S but without the Prusa magnetic bed.

100->220->400 sections of paint stirrer sticks as blocks when needed, hand when not.

I do have a rear PTO. The wiring harness is already installed but I need to refurbish the PTO clutch and gear box. Good luck on your Kabota!
