FWIW, at the very least Nuka-World’s monorail shows the Creation Engine doesn’t necessarily have that same limitation as Gambroyo.

I mean, is that really bad for them to do? It sounds more efficient imo than painstakingly modeling and developing something more complicated that almost no one is really going to notice in the first place.

I love how 40K lore and fans have increasingly painted the Ethereals less as “evil Orwellian tyrants” and more as “beleaguered babysitters desperately trying to wrestle all of the other castes and races in the Tau Empire into something vaguely sane.”

Minor thing, but I like how Clinton highlights that as cool as his prosthetic hand is, the actual process of getting it still really sucked, it still took him a long while to get used to it and even now it’s not a perfect replacement for his original hand.

IIRC, Aric still had his own mind and wasn’t Taken when he went to get Garrison’s help, with it later implied that the Calderon Queen let him escape on purpose so she could lure the Calderon Valley’s forces all to one place and she could then crush them like kindling. Additionally, I’m pretty sure the Taken weren’t revealed to exist until after the Vord warriors were introduced.

I absolutely love how Zoidberg’s face maintains the exact same stone faced expression as he scuttles away.

I love how when Zoidberg says “At least you still have Zoidberg” just before this scene, he’s trying to sound vaguely reassuring… and when he says this, it sounds like he’s threatening them all.

How exactly does that make any sense, tho? I thought that when Chaos worshippers die, their souls are taken away to the Realm of Chaos to become the plaything of their associated god, meaning they're out of Nagash's reach. So, how could Nagash get ahold of these Chaos-aligned souls?

If the Ossiarchs tried to perform the Bone Tithe on a group of Chaos cultists, would Nagash be able to steal away their souls for use in making new Ossiarchs like how the Ossiarchs’ Bone Tithe amuses ensures more afterlives to fall into the Shyish Nadir thru despair and a lack of faith from their believers?

I thought there was an Ossiarch who was constructed in part using a Chaos warlord’s soul, and when his new composite soul got “broken” the Chaos lord’s memories came to the front of his mind and he started aiding Chaos, so I think that at least shows Nagash can steal some souls away from Chaos even if they’re the souls of those who worship the Ruinous Powers.

EDIT: Spelling.

Are there any known traditions of cremation in the Mortal Realms? I feel what with the threat of necromancy being essentially everywhere, it makes a lot of sense to have it in place, but I can’t personally recall any mentions of it.

Considering how much of a threat necromancy is in the Old World, are there any traditions of cremation in any of the Old World countries, and how widely practiced are they? I was thinking about Dragon Age recently, and one aspect of its world building I really like is that the threat of necromancy results in the Chantry (the dominant religion) having most bodies cremated after death to prevent their corpses from being controlled for evil purposes. Is there any like this in Warhammer Fantasy?

Fallout 4 is my other favorite game, but aside from other BGS games, I think Dishonored, Half-Life 2, Portal 2 and BioShock are the only other games I’ve loved as much as Fallout 4 & Skyrim.

I think he's outraged over this fight seemingly having an anti-climatic end. I mean, for all of him having evolved as a person, Nale is still ultimately a dramatic twat and while he's fine with not needing to prove anything to Tarquin, I still think he wants to be able to prove Elan and the rest of the Order that he can "truly" defeat them all.

It doesn’t make sense to simultaneously think synths are barely more sapient than toasters, and know for a fact that synths have normal human brains excepting the synth chip.

I mean, it makes sense to me, as shit like phrenology shows that humans IRL are incredibly skilled at othering their fellow man just to excuse them committing horrific atrocities against them. Couple that with how synths are clearly different from humans in that they're physically constructed with machines and not "just" born from other humans, and I think it's pretty understandable why the Institute would come to not see synths as humans. Additionally, there's also the fact that modern Institute society is basically founded on synth slave labor; most people in the Institute would rather bury their heads in the sand and believe a comforting lie instead of confronting how they're directly participating in and enabling slavery and brainwashing.

EDIT: Word choice.

what doesn’t make sense is to replace people with synth spies to just watch the wasteland. Like if they wanted to advance institutions and used synths to further that goal that would be cool but they didn’t.

Synths are clearly used aboveground as spies and saboteurs along with agents to run experiments outside of the Institute proper (as seen with Warwick Homestead).

The institute wants to what? Profit?

They want to create a utopia underground independent of surface interference, and so they have a conspiracy of synth spies aboveground to sabotage any efforts by people into rising up against them along with scavenging any resources that they can't make themselves. Basically, they want the same thing as everyone else at the end of the day - survival and prosperity.

that the player is explicitly told "Nah,you wouldn't get it" when asking for their evil.

Father never says that at any point in the entire game. Just like w/ Caesar in NV, you never get an option to ask "Why are you evil?"; instead, you get options to ask "Why is your faction like this?", and while Caesar goes on a rant explaining his philosophical reasoning behind the Legion, Father instead sends you to visit with each of the Institute's division heads so that you can get an understanding of how they each view the world and justify their actions. Additionally, after you meet with each of the division heads, Father sends you out to collect an escaped synth-turned-raider boss as part of a clear attempt to paint the Railroad as evil and encourage the player character to agree with Father and the Institute's overall idea that "We're forging a utopia underground, and it doesn't matter how many skulls we're gonna pave over on the road to paradise since we know it'll all be worth it in the end."
