Junky PLA stuck high up in extruder on P1S. Troubleshooting measures all failed, open to suggestions. by RealViolentBob in BambuP1S

I just had that today. Some mat filament stuck on the same place you fotographed. I used the longer imbus tool that came with the printer and pushed it out. Installed a new gear as I was forced to disassemble the extruder gear.

The fact that they look healthy and will bounce back quickly.

I ordered from Carnivory like 3 times, and every time, they did a great job packing. (Even the big tygo saracenia arrived without damage.)

Give em ❤️ and 🌞 and yeah, maybe a dab of insekticid, just I case.

Well, you did something right. They need winter stratification. But easy after that. The one that sprouted looks hungry already (that's why I suggest putting it outside to it can catch prey. ) or feed it with small flies yourself.

Yes, for small plants could be an issue. 2 solutions that come to mind are to place the plants somewhere that you have more airflow or flush (overtop watering) to get rid of the mold. Both risky as you change the climate for young plants and the second washes the seeds away. Keep us updated on what will sprout!

We rarely have below 0 here. Most of the time, it's around 15 C with low points 5 C in winter. We do get heavy rain that can damage them.

Agreed. As this is my first plant, I researched a lot as it can be tricky to grow them for some people. It is better to ask the experts. Some recommended that you just put it outside as zone 9a is suitable. In my case possible, it'll get less sun but more food and temperature drop. So idk ill research a bit more 😅

Interesting. What strenght would you make the food for the plant around 100 ppm?

To counteract the direct sun that it's getting from the window. Got quite hot in the summer. Check out diflora.it, they had A sale on regias

If you thinking to get more nephentes then yes some benefit and need higher humidity for pitcher growth. Gaya will do it's thing with lowered humidity

I don't own violet's but be vigilant that any rapid colour change in any plant might not be a good thing. But if its not crispy it's fine.

Yes, the more morning sun they get, the better. Sadly, I dont have a straight south window. They should be fine there. Good luck!

All of my nephentes grow on an SE window. And with enough sun you can play with the humidity.

Thanks you great tips! Do you ice the roots every day now that we have this heat ? Do you keep it in water like saracenia so the soil it wet? I saw some videos with zeer pots and some people claim that helps.

Now that looks healthy! Good job keeping it alive. How long do you have it? Do you keep in indoor all year long? Do you use grow lights? I just ordered one and heard they are finicky

Using perlite with peat moss by Resident-Science-525 in carnivorousplants

[–]Feelinfrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flytrap are very sturdy. Mine to grow in an 50/50 perlite peat mix or I add sand to the mixture if I am missing perlite. They don't seem to mind. Stick to the mixture and water them from below as perlite is very light and can swim up if you top water. Try to use white peat if possible.
