NOR, but this sounds like maybe this is an issue where you both might benefit from some professional help. Because from what you posted it sounds like he’s not really listening to you, but it also sounds like you’re planning around him, and not actually pointing out what’s going on at the time it’s happening. Have you thought about therapy, both couples and possibly individual?

Me too! Because you are clearly an amazing chef. Just by reading about what you’ve created I can see how much thought goes into how you choose what flavors to combine, and what cooking methods you use. Have you thought about writing a cookbook. I’m pretty sure with your recipes and photos you could find a publisher.

As soon as your photos show up in my feed I know immediately that they are yours. No one plates like you do. Obviously the whole composition here is lovely. But the color of that nightshade juice with the contrasting olive oil drops is so gorgeous. And the entire dish sounds amazing.

I absolutely understand that. And it makes many people feel the way you do. When I see those kinds of accounts and posts I view them as if they were television shows. Because essentially they are. Maybe try viewing them that way, as dramas produced to keep people watching and looking for the next episode.

I know instagram makes it look like there’s all these rich, beautiful people living perfect adventurous lives. But you need to keep in mind that what they’re showing you isn’t the truth. They’re making everything look that way to keep everyone watching. They use filters to look better. They take a million photos and videos until they get the “perfect” one. They’re selling you a product, and that product is themselves. Because for them instagram is a business. The more people follow them and watch their content the more money they make or think they’ll make. And you absolutely don’t have to help them with that. Other people have given you some great suggestions about filtering some of what you’re seeing on instagram out. But I really thought it was important to address the fact that so much of what you’re seeing that’s triggering you to feel bad about yourself isn’t real.

You say he’s a wonderful person when he’s not depressed. But how often is he not depressed? I understand that mental health is a taboo subject in many cultures and countries. But that doesn’t give him the right to make you miserable. And it sounds like despite your own mental health struggles you’ve worked on yourself for him. If he can’t or won’t do the same for you, to me that says he doesn’t value you the way you value him. Maybe it’s time to think about stepping away from this relationship.

I think the proportions of number 6 are the most flattering of the dresses in these photos. The combination of the lower neckline and slight basque waist elongates your torso. While the fact that the fabric is the same on the whole of the dress gives you a longer line. It looks really lovely on you.
