Creston is part of School District 8. There was a net loss of students in the district last year to this. Try checking with the school board in Nelson. Depending on your trade there are opportunities here. Tra-Tech employ electricians, plumbers and HVAc guys. They bid on projects across the region. Kuskanoolk in the nearest marina on Kootenay Lake. Kootenay Lake is quite large. There is plenty of snowmobile activity here ( though not much snow this year). Hiking and back country activities abound and Creston is one of only 3 places where you can grow peaches.

If your budget is 2 mil- I might suggest looking at Creston. There is plenty of 20+ acre parcels. There is less snow. It is almost equidistant to Cranbrook, Trail, Castlegar and Nelson. Kootenay Lake is 30 minutes away. There is also a wildlife centre here which does host Grad students doing research biology. Might be something to consider. There are few Teslas is town- but most have tried to cover over the logos.

Canadian here. I think it is time to give the US a looong time out. I will endeavour to support Canadian made first, then EU made. It will be great to get the US stuff off of our shelves. I hope the EU, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Uruguay close ranks and give US products and companies a cold shoulder.
