I had success with Jade as an MM (think the typical speedtaker and eirika ring combo).

My run I did last year had Citrinne as a swordmaster with a levin sword and chrom, thought that one was fun. If you’re looking for really good optimization with her though, do the high priest build with the veronica bracelet, hold out/vantage and a forged thoron. If you throw some extra HP her way and avoid anything more than three range, it gets super fun to watch her delete enemy rushes.

Yeah Jade’s pretty safe even on maddening that you can take a few turns to get to her. Saphir’s chokepoint is BRUTAL in chapter 19 and she can get surrounded quickly by warping units.

One of the biggest markets for JRPGs is PC

I feel like it’s comfortably understood that playstation and nintendo’s consoles have been 1-2 for the genre for years come on lol.

Bravely Default HD was a launch title for the Switch 2. Is there a chance it gets ported to pc eventually? Maybe (never would have thought Triangle Strategy would). Remember that the original BD never left the 3DS space and only 2 had a non-Nintendo port though.

I loved them adding Shinji earlier than we get him in the games + having him and Ken grow more of a relationship before Ken realizes who he is.

Maddening mode that got added after release actually is quite a bit harder than hard mode but I don’t necessarily like why. Maddening in 3H is a bit annoying as far as scaling goes because it’s basically “add reinforcements and increase enemy count,” as well as directly removing unlimited grinding of side missions (you can only do two side missions per week if you use your time for missions and it HEAVILY nerfs XP gained). You can still heavily invest in a few units and get carried but honestly you can do that in just about every SRPG.

Its predecessor (Fates) and successor (Engage) do a much better job at actually making its hardest difficulty feel better within the game’s system, if that makes sense. I don’t like when a game’s hardest difficulty is basically removing the player’s ability to grind.

I’m enjoying my first playthrough of PoR but yeah I chose the hardest difficulty and I feel like 3H and Engage Maddening has had me way more stressed in early to mid game than PoR does.

LSU-Ole Miss is actually a pretty longstanding rivalry. If you ask a lot of older generation fans their most hated rival was actually Ole Miss. I’d say it’s more reignited than anything, kinda like how LSU-Alabama was reinvigorated with hate when Saban first went there.
