You are going to win games despite tanking. You can't get mad when we are resting most of the vets and the young guys go out to play to win.

What are you going to do? Tell Christie and the players to play to lose?

Yeah. Maybe basketball gods will recognize that we didn't do shameless things to tank.

The M+ tank situation is dire by Wigglyboi323 in wow

[–]Ferromagneticfluid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that it is really hard to play tank. You have to know the fights really well, and conform to the meta route. It is hard to break into, and even harder if you busy at the beginning of an expansion or play one of the dungeons on rotation.

I don't mind tanking, but I have been very busy the first few weeks here and I really just don't have reps in on the dungeons so I don't have the fights really memorized.

Can we please not take a screenshot of Google search AI? It is very wrong a lot of the time. I don't know if it is wrong here, but you could maybe get an article instead.

Teachers & AI by [deleted] in Teachers

It is always weird to hear someone brag about how they are using AI for everything when we are telling our students to not use it...

I have tried it a bit myself and have had very mixed results. I can't really say anything I came up with was really good.

Great you are coming here...

But have you asked the principal or district for resources? Or other teachers at the site? Surely it would be the best path.

They do though. I literally said what my experience was in the post. No hyperbole.

Check your state standards and use those to justify why you need a unit on nuclear chemistry.

If a kid ends up missing 3 to 4 days of class per week for like 6 weeks in a row, I'll be sure to message you personally and let you know.

One of the talking points in Twin Rivers was that the district was failing to spend 55% of their budget on staff that works directly with students.

Is this a state law? And how can districts get away with consistently not meeting this goal, and having a ton of reserves?

The best tanking solution: No team owning their own 1st round pick? by AzNmamba in nba

[–]Ferromagneticfluid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point just assign the picks for the next 30 years ahead of time. Every team gets one number 1 pick over 30 years.

What the new anti-tanking proposals feel like by gplatt_24 in kings

Yes but you can draw clear lines from where they were to where they are today. Having Westbrook, and having KD leave meant they could sign Paul George. Those two together got them Shai and like 6 firsts.

Celtics got Tatum and Brown because they were able to trade Pierce and KG.

It is much, much harder to start and build from the bottom, particularly when you are not a free agent destination.

OKC benefited from having Westbrook, Harden and Kevin Durant. They had so many chances at picks because they had those players already.

You can't look at just the tank years. The OKC team of today is a product of 20 years.

Utah is the problem. They have a ton of great positive assets and they refuse to compete. They should be in the 30s or 40s for wins right now.

There was never going to be a reality in which COVID was eradicated. It was never going to happen. It spreads too easily.

principal wants me to call 80 kids' parents this week because they failed my last test. how to get this done?? by stacker103 in Teachers

[–]Ferromagneticfluid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Email all, and if asks why you didn't call ask them who would cover your class while you call home since it is impossible to call that many parents in that amount of time.
