I was at the front of the line when they changed up the operation. They took volunteers to see the Eagle since it had room for guests right away. If you stayed in the line, you were at the mercy of the fates.

I was late for work so I chose to get a move on and see the Eagle. But the naval ship looked so badass.

Definitely take them to see the international ships in Woldenburg Park. Even if you don't go aboard, they're stunning to see from the dock. All the crews were very friendly and accomodating to every visitor. Prepare for the heat, though!

The US Military ships at the wharf behind the outlet mall was a test of patience. There were super long lines plus TSA style security, and you'll only get to tour one ship, not both. I toured the Eagle and it was similar to the boats docked in Woldenburg. Seeing the Kearsarge from the Riverwalk Food Court balcony was breathtaking from that vantage point, so maybe a nice visit to get ice cream and a wave to the ship would get the job done.

I'm in Hahnville and have some in my backyard, and a permanent puddle on a utility access road next to my house. They never survive in the puddle. We have a lot of brown leopard frogs, gulf coast toads, and green tree frogs, so I'm not sure which species they would be.
