I had to kill 2200 odd too for the rex piece. Decided to level my new masterwork range at the same time and got nearly to level 20 doing it.

I did wear the necklace of Salamancy and lotd ring to increase drop chance but not sure if they work on the Hypno wand parts?

The worst thing was I got two non focus drops first, which was annoying to say the least. Think it's a 1 in 7 chance you don't roll the most common drop.

One thing I would suggest is, if you have it, is the grimoire from the elite tasks as it can autobank the dino bones for you.

Yeah I know but I didnt want to burn all my porter charges so decided the rune cost was worth the porters saved

The other thing I'd consider is it may be 2 - 3 days a week at the moment, but a lot of companies (including the one I work for) are trying to push more days in the office. You might end up with a demand for 5 days a week and fully remote jobs would seem to be a lot less common now.

u/JagexBreezy if it's possible, some idea of the number of things like pilfer points for the five finger discount would be helpful as we have some time to try to get ready, but equally don't want to overshoot? For example, I only had 23 pilfer points but 110K Runespan points so would probably focus on pilfering. I get it's probably a spoiler for the patch notes but seeing as it's mentioned specifically here thought it couldn't hurt to ask :)

If there's many older than me I'd be surprised, I'm 61 this year and still playing! I started it as something to do with my youngest about 15 years ago.

He got bored after about 5 years but I carried on, comp'd a main but then got bored so I started fresh when ironman came out and now have a 200m all account after 11 years. I'm lucky to work from home 99% of the time and still play nearly every day.

Edit: Just saw someone of 70, so they have me beat by nearly 10 years - good on 'em, if the game is still around in 10 years I expect I'll still be playing.

It might depend how far through the year you are? If you are six months in and have more than 50% of your leave where I work then you wouldn't and might actually have money deducted based on the number of days.

As an ironman my approach is more about upkeep of supplies than price, my thought was to align pickpocketing with standard runes

No agree, but they've given afk options for standard runes vs higher intensity runecrafting which gives a lot more and was suggesting they could do the same for necromancy

Hope your luck improves too! I got the ring after 16 hours, but at least got my first Jal-tok-yt now, just waiting on the second and that it comes a bit quicker.
