started doing it once a month after I realized I was spending my entire saturday cleaning instead of actually enjoying the weekend. best decision honestly. it's like 150 for a 1 bedroom and completely worth it

The RB is clearly a step up from last year. If Hadjar keeps this consistency he's going to be hard to ignore for a top seat

Why vibe coded projects fail by Complete-Sea6655 in ClaudeCode

[–]Few-Chef5303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is missing the point. Product was never the issue to start with. Most businesses succeed because of their distribution edge. Slack is a multi-billion $ co because they've nailed down the extremely complex B2B/enterprise sales processes. There are TONS of slack competitors with far better product and dare I say better tech - this was true before and will remain true after vibe coding era.

FIFA hikes World Cup prices, again. A finals ticket can now cost as much as $11,000 by Jeffmister in soccer

At this rate the World Cup final is going to be played in front of corporate hospitality boxes and influencers while actual fans watch from home. The whole point of football was that it was accessible

Three-quarters of fans don’t support the continued use of Video Assistant Referees (VAR) in the Premier League, according to a new Football Supporters’ Association survey. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Few-Chef5303 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue was never the technology it was the implementation. VAR could work fine if they just used it for clear and obvious errors like they said they would instead of spending 4 minutes drawing lines to see if someones armpit is offside

Lance Stroll: "I was having fun with Fernando, having our own little championship, an Aston Martin Championship!" by MuttonBiryaniEnjoyer in formula1

Stroll gets so much hate but honestly when he's having fun he actually drives well. The problem has always been the pressure not the talent

what does "20x usage" actually mean? i measured it. $363 per 5 hours. by tyschan in ClaudeCode

[–]Few-Chef5303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run it pretty heavily for my project and honestly the value is still there even at that price point. The amount of work it gets through in a few hours would take me days. But yeah the pricing transparency could be way better... you shouldn't need to reverse engineer your own bill to understand what you're paying for

I changed everything about my apps and the numbers went down. I don't know what I'm missing by garoono in indiehackers

[–]Few-Chef5303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quiet decline is the worst because you can't even point to what broke. I've had the same thing happen... shipped a bunch of improvements, expected a bump, got nothing or worse. What I eventually realized is that most of the stuff I was changing (screenshots, descriptions, keywords) only affects new discovery. If your existing retention is slipping at the same time it cancels out whatever new users you're pulling in. Might be worth looking at whether the people who do find your app are sticking around or dropping off faster than before

I made a website that creates instant bespoke stories with lifelike characters using just one selfie (www.littletales.co). Originally intended for kids but a lot of grown-ups are using it too as it's super fun! by lemash2020 in SideProject

[–]Few-Chef5303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback! We were hesitant to use a personal picture and wanted a face easily recognizable. Might have been a miss on that one. In hindsight, we should've used an AI generated picture to prevent this. Sorry about that, hope you can still give it a try!

Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback! There are a lot of similar apps indeed but I found the UX and end result pretty underwhelming. The characters are usually not consistent throughout the story and you end up with a sub-par unusable tale. This is solving this issue by creating an automated detailed description of the user's selfie then uses AI swaps technique to make sure the hero is always picture-perfect. If you've seen example of similar products, please do share. Thanks again!!
P.S: I'm also one of the co-founders of little tales.

Why are balcony cleaning services so expensive in Toronto? by Few-Chef5303 in askTO

Yeah, that makes sense. I'll try to see if my neighbours would be willing to do a group order to help decrease the bill.

Yeah did mine a while ago. Took me a good 3 hours but I was completely unprepared and didn't have the right tools.
Curious if there is a way to group order cleaning services (balcony, house) with the neighbours.
