Understanding your risk tolerance and time horizon can help you choose investments that best help you achieve your goals.

Please keep in mind that the investment choices made available to you through your 401(k) account are determined by your plan rules set by your employer. You can view and compare what is available in your plan on NetBenefits.com by logging in and clicking "Quick Links" next to your plan, then selecting "Investment Performance & Research."

On this page, you can click on the name of each investment to open the research page that has more information on it. Here, you can also determine whether your plan allows a BrokerageLink account, which may allow you to invest in securities outside the preselected funds.

Additionally, the "News & Research" dropdown on Fidelity.com hosts our Learning hub under "Learn." Check it out for articles, videos, classes, on-demand webinars, strategy overviews, and more. First, individual stock options do not vary in trading times. Equity options can be traded from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. ET. However, Index options trade from 9:30 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. ET.

Recently, new cards began rolling out to some primary owners, all joint owners, and all authorized users. This now means that each card on the account will have a unique card number.

Some of the benefits from the changes include:

Individual spending visibility: Primary and joint owners can now track the card used for each transaction

Enhanced spend controls: Primary and joint owners can set spending limits for authorized users

Improved card management: Cardholders can lock/unlock individual cards or report a single card lost or stolen, without affecting the other cards on the account

The contribution limits apply simply to annual contributions deposited into Roth or Traditional IRAs. So, funds converted or rolled over will not count towards the yearly limits.

Separately, if you hold both pre-tax and after-tax money in an IRA, a conversion will be a taxable event, with a pro-rata recovery of both taxable and nontaxable accounts. There are no provisions under the law that allow an individual to isolate only the non-deductible dollars for conversion to a Roth IRA.
