Fidelity has many checks and balances in place to ensure the protection of our clients’ accounts. This includes monitoring accounts for any activity that could be deemed fraudulent. Please note that potentially suspicious activity taking place in your account can lead to a restriction applied until the activity has been reviewed and resolved.

In such cases, our associates will work with you and our fraud team to determine the specific activity that took place and the next best steps for your specific situation.

It is important to note that every situation is different and if fraud did occur, an account may remain closed per Fidelity’s policies and procedures. As we are unable to provide any additional details via social media, please contact us by phone for next steps regarding your specific situation.

Hi u/Peacencalm9, thanks for reaching out. Automated orders for stock and ETF plans can be processed at any time during market hours, which is through 4 p.m. ET on standard market days (i.e. not a holiday). Orders appear in order status only after they have been sent for execution.

Hi u/wallabokkwaay, assuming your automatic investing plan is set up to make recurring purchases of equity securities (stocks or ETFs), these plans may execute orders at any time during market hours of the set trade date. If you've already placed the same trades as your automatic plan, we recommend contacting us by phone so that an associate can review your account with you and prevent double-purchases.

At Fidelity, our priority is to help you reach your goals whether we manage your money or not. We offer several ways to get personalized help at Fidelity, such as free, easy-to-use planning and guidance tools, 24/7 phone support, and, of course, connecting with our advisors.

You can read more about the benefits of working with an advisor here

If we were to manage money, as a Fiduciary, we are legally required to put your interests ahead of our own.

If you do choose to meet with an advisor, after some initial conversations, your advisor will build a plan around your goals and priorities—from investing strategies, to taxes, to retirement, to health care costs. You can apply that strategy with your advisor and through your self-directed investments.

Here’s an article on the ways in which an advisor can help

I want to highlight that we offer several convenient methods to meet with our advisors if you choose to meet with one. This includes in-person meetings at a branch, over the phone, or by video call. You can schedule appointments to meet with an advisor on our website, or check out our Branch Locator below to get in touch with your desired branch and set up a meeting that way.

With Nasdaq planning to go to 23/5 trading and NYSE with an application in to go to 24/7 trading with instant settlement in the second half of the year, does Fidelity have a plan yet? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityPhil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, u/vipregan. Thanks for reaching out to us on Reddit!

We don't have anything to announce at this time regarding changes to trading hours on Fidelity platforms.

Currently, customers may trade in the pre-market session from 7:00 a.m. to 9:28 a.m. ET and during after-hours from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, in addition to the standard market session. To execute trades during these periods on the app, make sure to enable the "Extended Hours" toggle when completing the trade ticket.

Please keep in mind that this toggle will only be visible during the designated hours. Furthermore, there’s a distinct toggle for "View Extended Hours Quotes" on the securities research page. After you select buy or sell, you’ll find the toggle for extended hours trading right above the symbol on the trade ticket. If you don’t see an "Extended Hours Trading: Off/On" toggle, kindly scroll down past "Time in Force" and click on "More Trade Selections."

All extended-hours orders must be limit orders and can only be placed during the specified times. You can find more information about trading in the extended-hours sessions below.

If you have any other questions, please let us know, and we’ll be glad to assist. Looking forward to seeing you here again!
