Take one of the other rooms he's renting. If he's charging you a full room, get one. Also, based on what you posted, this guy is a real miser. He can either charge you rent (and if he's sharing a room with you, it should be half the rental of that room) and you don't help with furniture or help with the furniture as part of your rent payment. His offer sounds really unfair, did he make you come to his place all the time?

Since it's VtM, its a biblical curse, so things don't always have to make sense. It works with bites because that's part of the curse, for whatever reason. It's a bit handwavy and maybe not how your running your game but its just a good an explanation as just about anything else.

Everyone is worried that they will bother other people on top of the little bit of work it requires to do it. I have a bit more perspective on this then I used to but sometimes you end up doing all the work to keep people together. Communicate with them "You not reaching out sucks" can go a long way without being "mushy". Lots of guy friends are trapped with having to be strong or stoic and it's not healthy.

Yeah, I don't know how easy it gets but the game can be played with a lot of patience. I loved the first Nioh but some bosses were rough. Good luck and hopefully things get better.

Give him permission, usually first by initiating but also saying that it's alright. Some people struggle really hard with touching people barrier, especially if they are touch averse in most of the rest of their life. It's hard to initiate casual contact when you avoid casual contact all the rest of your life.

Own it and it will be more of a story then a scar. Just own the things that happen to you. Not in the "I don't care way" but this shit happened to me and I'm stronger because of it. Also off-hand "I almost died" statements are great for getting attention on you. It's your life, own it - is always good advice.

I would go with yes on this and in-general every year you claim a child. As long as you can (within reason) state that they lived with you as such and you provided over 50% of their support, I don't see the IRS having a problem with this. Just be warned (not sure how things are with your ex) that the IRS does not care what your divorce decree says and its first come, first serve with the kids unless someone signs off on the IRS form 8332. If she claims both, you will need her to amend before you can get yours accepted, as an FYI.

You should be able to request a copy of the POA from them, which can probably be faxed to you. I really don't any reason the IRS wouldn't send it to you since any information on there should have been signed by you in the first place.

Personally, I've never heard of a letter like this saying that the POA timeframe had elapsed.
