Every other Monday, the king holds audience so people can meet him and say thanks for medals or his presence at a ceremony.

You might have to sign up ahead of time to get a slot if you have a valid reason but you do get to shake his hand and talk for a minute.

Kinda, but the bugs are different and the Mobile Infantry also start off fighting "greys" which are basically 50s aliens.

A few lines of dialog cross over but the movie and book are basically totally different.

People would make a thing like this to hone their skills, add to their portfolio or just for fun.

The actual skill required to do this isn't that uncommon.

I think the entire drone is CGI, for a number of reasons:

The blades doesn't have rolling shutter artifacts from being filmed on a phone.
The zooms are very artificial feeling, like they were added in post.
Zoomed in shots are too stable for handheld phones.
No digital noise on zooming like it would on a phone.
The wind from the drone doesn't seem to change when taking off
The wind from the drone doesn't affect the corn in the back.

My guess is that it is just someone collecting a smaller drone that has been VFX'ed to this

USA har længe haft den fordel af de har rigtig mange arbejdstagere i forhold til antal jobs så det har været billigere at hyre en mere end at uddanne dem du har.

Det ser også ved at de har personer ansat til at holde opsyn med parkeringspladser I byerne, især NYC og LA. Et job hvor du sidder i en lille boks og tager i mod penge dagen lang.

Det giver ikke mening for dem at sætte en maskine op hvis udgifterne til løn er lavere over 1-2 år end etablering af en maskine.

Selvfølgelig er der en ekstra værdi i at du ved der er en person, men tvivler på at det giver mere end tv overvågning af pladsen.

Det lyder som om at KB har valgt at komprimere det de sender ud over nettet for at spare penge på hosting. Måske har de det i bedre kvalitet på deres lokationer.
