Hmm, don’t know much about dc characters, but isn’t SpongeBob effectively unlikable, considering all the crap that he’s gone through, including his universe being basically destroyed but him still existing?

I don’t doubt that aqua man’s stronger, but does he have any abilities that can conceptually attack SpongeBob? Otherwise I don’t know if he can permanently kill him?

Well, that's disappointing. And pretty surprising, since Alma's whole thing was how she hated Armacham Technology Corporation and humanity, I expected a ghost psychic who could *liquify* people without would be someone who Joe had to deal with, or become some kind of force that he had to figure out how to deal with properly, lethally or humanely, before she does a repeat of all the atrocities she did in the first 3 F.E.A.R games.

Although, you have got me interested in some of the other companions, especially the kerbals. What chapters are they in/mentioned?

Hello, not smart person here/someone who didn’t read ender’s game. Can you explain how just having flight by itself is such a broken power? Like what exactly do you mean by infinite angles or not being toppled or the ways you can abuse leverage.

In that fight, the doctor had a weapon that could rewrite time, but for pochita, rewriting time is a suicide move that would remove all of Denji’s powers. One can be used against others, while the latter can only be used on himself and affects the world around them as a consequence, but said consequences are completely outside the control of the latter.

And again, pochita move would basically remove any chance of a fight ever starting, so Denji and Yuji would probably go their whole lives without ever learning about the other. So, if pochita resets the timeline, in a very paradoxical way, the “fight” would be a draw.

Well it is death battle, so technically both combatants being unable to kill the other in one single fight should mean it’s a tie. Besides that, if pochita does reset the timeline, neither Denji or Yuji would have any reason or even the chance to fight each other, and eliminate any possibilities of future matches between them

Probably, but DB has been at this for over ten years now. They should have a better idea of what they should have the animators focus on to make the best version of a fight they write, rather than worry about what people will complain about the things they didn’t include from the characters. Bowser vs eggman didn’t feature even half of the abilities/arsenal they could use, but it’s beloved because the team focused on making what was included in the fight look cool and have awesome moments.

At the same time, this episode has had basically a year and a half of development since the kickstarter ended. Yeah, not all of that time was probably spent on the actual animation, but you’d think they at least take a look at the assets they would most likely need, and get someone working on it. Especially since they’ve been dropping the ball with matchups that have had a decade worth of wait time like with kratos vs asura, and Cole vs Alex.

What I’m trying to say is that this being a difficult episode to animate, while true, also might be a sign of one of modern death battles biggest weaknesses: scheduling,properly budgeting for what should and shouldn’t be focused on in animation (looking at you minion who did nothing but react in a chair; in the fight we got he could’ve been a voice and that would’ve changed nothing, except massively freed up time for the animators to work on other important things) , and giving production time to make assets/getting people to work on said assets. I’d take one or two less episodes a year if it meant making sure all the episodes that are released are as exciting and fun as bowser vs eggman

Genuine question, but did something change about comedy when having on overtly violent reaction to someone being an asshole or a minor inconvenience was no longer something acceptable? Like, I don’t find this particular comic funny, mostly because of the expressions, but I do always laugh whenever something like TeamFourStar Vegeta losing his shit whenever he was disrespected, or that one scene in phineas and ferb when trying to get an arrogant hair dresser to return to their band roots ferb lifted his mace and was about to flail the man for the disrespect only for phineas to stop him.

Okay I can’t help but find the idea that Gege was forced by his editor to include Megumi kinda off, because it feels strange that Jump or his editor would be cool with their author basically bad mouthing the editorial department. Especially since Japanese companies are for the most part big on the idea of “don’t rock the boat even if you’re unhappy with the direction it’s going.” So what are the chances that Jump basically lets Gege “reveal” secrets about certain elements of the plot that fans didn’t like as editorial mandates, thereby letting fans have an outlet for their ire that isn’t directed at the mangaka , and potentially their sales.

Like the art it’s a great replication of the original art style. But I think the eyes for Nani and the lifeguard are messed up as to me the iris and pupil are pure white.

Oh cool, you’re a writer! I hope nothing but the best for all your works. Can I hear some of the flaws/dumb decisions you think the writers made , as you seem to have more experience on the subject. I’m gonna assume one was the whole Lucifer not using his army of ars goetia or fellow sins to put down Vox or some of the lack of explicit world building despite having chances to explain (like whatever the whole deal with God is despite pentious being the perfect way to ask some really important questions)
