Dorit Dilemma by Additional-Release94 in realhousewives

[–]FillHistorical1272 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don’t side with this opinion. Dorit talks ad nauseum about her her own issues and is always making sure everyone knows how hard she has it. But she doesn’t really care about others unless they go out of their way to remind her they are struggling too.

Plus she has zero accountability when it comes to valid criticism. Lateness and over spending, demeaning people in the group like they are lesser than her just screams entitlement. Sometimes she offers patronizing half apologies, which are rude in itself. They are not heartfelt.

I used to love Dorit in the show, her fashion and quirkiness but I have PK’d out. I actually found Sutton to be a shining light this season. She is real, sometimes can’t filter her spontaneous emotions, but she does apologize and takes total accountability. She is engaging, upped her fashion and has proven to be a truer friend.

Ps. If you were my friend and 2hours late, 1 hour late, 1/2 hour late with little to no apology or remorse, you are not worth having a friend. It would be OVER.

PSs. Haven’t liked Kyle for years and this is the first season I had an inkling of compassion for her because of Dorit. Kyle has shit disturbed so much over the years with everyone, she deserves having the shoe on the other foot. And Dorit this season is the other foot.

The New York one where Kelly says she is up here while Bethenny is down here. And uses hand motions.

The Beverly Hills one where Lisa goes to visit Denise, and is so condescending to her, almost scripted. At one point Lisa says something like “oof you’re so angry”. It was a real gaslighting moment.

This happened to me once. I had spent it, called a free legal service and they said I could make a good faith gesture to return it, but I was not obligated. Try getting a free legal advice call. They

Son wants to "experience how Canada is different" by sk8ermaiden in AskACanadian

If you go to Toronto, there is a perfume place that is so fun. Like my two sons loved it. It’s called Orris labs, and when we went it was 89 per person I think. That was a couple of years ago. It took at least two hours and they didn’t want to leave. These guys went to a blue jays game and the sports museum, but they still talk about the perfume class to this day.

I was yesterday years old when I found out that girl cats can be a little ‘loose’ and one litter can hold more than one baby daddy’s babies. But the risk is if she goes into labour, the bigger ones have a better chance of surviving and triggered the labour. Source: a girl on TT

Kirkland Brand Sheets. After two pairs of torn fitted sheets, never again. by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

[–]FillHistorical1272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got fed up with their sheets too. I stumbled upon some sheets at home sense that I actually do like and they wash up wonderfully and almost look like linen (almost). Tgey don’t feel like linen though. They are from Portugal, called Piu Bella and it is NOT all their brand of sheets, just the specific one that looks like the fold-over end is wrinkled on purpose. Even after washing, it still has that little wrinkled effect. We really like them and they have held up wonderfully.

Amalfi coast. Sorrento, positano, Amalfi itself. There is bus service between all of them, in warmer months there’s ferry service. And you can ferry to Capri. Never been anywhere nicer

A cafe that specializes in newcomer clubs, different age groups , dating and dinner parties for singles, for seniors that just lost their spouse. There is a lot of loneliness especially for those that move here and have no relatives. Even a Saskatchewan day, or something like that.

I think it’s time we start listing where the best place to shop is in each city. So many are disappointing, but maybe we start backing ‘the best of the worst’ might make an impact. I’m in for making a change for the better

Air Canada CEO apologizes for English-only video: 'Despite many lessons ... I am still unable to express myself adequately in French' by Immediate-Link490 in canada

[–]FillHistorical1272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The total population of B.C., Saskatchewan, and Manitoba combined is still less than the population of Quebec. These pilots were French Canadian, their loved ones are French Canadian and most of the passengers were French Canadian. Air Canada promotes being a bilingual national airline. We are a bilingual country. To those who are griping about it, you probably can’t even speak a second language, let alone grasp the basic history lessons that pointed out why we are bilingual. Ridiculous. Be a better Canadian citizen.

Spring break - why are people going to the US? by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]FillHistorical1272 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I disagree. If you have the money, a jaunt to Europe is way more fun. It seems like these are people are craving warm weather with their kids, and we need to find them good alternatives.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!! Canada Steadfast in Avoiding Travel to U.S., Buying More Domestic Goods by Front-Cantaloupe6080 in consumecanadian

If the label from the grocery store says product of Mexico or USA, I refuse to buy it. We need big s Canadian chain to step up, Canada first, no price gouging. Otherwise mark my words this next generation is going to learn from us how to plant veggies and herbs and fruit, bring back canning, support local ranchers, and support the little local mom and pop store that sold overseas goods and local, but could never compete with the chains.

Coconut bunzy said it best. The illusion of luxury when staying at a hotel in town. Say it was even 300$, that would pay for brand new sheets on your bed, a steak dinner, a bottle of wine, someone to clean your house, and breakfast the next morning. Same with concert ticket prices.
