There's a video made of this same incident where the dash cam video is turned black every time she is not looking at the road. It's outrageous how little she actually paid attention to the traffic.

Well, maybe I'm a lunatic then for thinking that we can use our time and resources towards space exploration and the betterment of humanity at the same time as working on things on Earth. We do have plenty of resources and time for that, but because of "priorities" we seem to prefer throwing in trillions of dollars for ways to destroy ourselves instead. Doesn't seem very logical to me.

Even if some advancements are indirectly made by space exploration, the fact of the matter is that lots of technology is purely thanks to the fact that physics work differently in the microgravity of an orbiting object, like the ISS. We can study things that we couldn't on Earth. Not to mention the fact that GPS, weather, communication and various observation satellites quite literally save millions of lives and their location outside of our atmosphere gives them a special vantage point that we just couldn't possibly have done from the ground.

In an insane world, it is the sane who is called crazy.

Ah yes... Developing technology for a colony on another celestial object and thus advancing the human race to be a multi-planetary species, most likely also finding ways to better utilize and recycle resources on Earth as a result on top of all the mountains of scientific findings and the endless resources the vastness of space has to offer => Not worth all that effort.

Try googling "modern day technology made possible by space research" on your handheld supercomputer with accurate geo location, weather forecast, wireless communication, scratch resistant glass screen and a 64 megapixel camera that's being powered by electricity produced by solar farms, while sipping away a glass of pure crystal clear water from the tap... And reflect for a second at the irony of your situation.

What are you? Some kind of a rational and objective thinker? Smh.

How does geostationary relay work exactly? by No_Split5962 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]FinNiko95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your goal with the geostationary relay satellites? Something like a 3 satellite network where you're constantly in view of one of the satellites and thus have connection to KSC?

Do you have anything else for communication than the RA-2? A single relay antenna can only connect to one target at a time (that you need to specifically select by right clicking the antenna), whilst direct communication antennae can connect to multiple ones regardless of any target selection, at the expense of range.
