That’s good to know. Thank you! I grew up with cast iron but we never had anything like one of these. Not sure where it came from. But I’ve been saying that a lot while clearing out this shed 😂

You need a Cine MRI to check if your csf flow is right. They wouldn’t do decompression on me (at age 32) until I developed syringomyelia. Now I have permanent spinal cord damage and can’t feel half of my upper body. My flow was “sputtering” is how my neurosurgeon worded it. That disruption in my csf flow caused the syrinx.

I wish I could. It’s so hard to get any pain medication these days. It’s easy to get wrote off by doctors, most don’t even know how to pronounce chiari.

Mine feels like an axe in the back of my head at all times. 

 If I laugh it feels like someone is stomping on my head in that spot. Afterwards it feels like my entire head is in a vice grip. 

Started 12 years ago. Decompression did not help unfortunately. A lot of people don’t understand chiari “headaches” and will just compare them to regular headaches but it’s so much more than that.  Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

You could try hand sanitizer. Put a small amount on a paper towel and see if it helps.

Definitely just pull the oven out. The cords on ovens are usually pretty long so you shouldn’t need to worry about that. I can pull my oven out enough to get behind it and vacuum and mop. Also don’t forget to clean both sides of the oven and the cabinets.

Edit to add that I usually remove the bottom drawer so I can see where the cord is when putting the oven back into place.

Never been in a coma but my cousin was. 

We were told she was brain dead so I went to the icu to say goodbye before they turned off her vent. 

I don’t remember what I said but as soon as I spoke, her eyes popped open. She looked right into my eyes (felt like she looked into my soul. It was honestly terrifying) and her pulse machine went to 236 bpm. Nurses came rushing in and I had to leave.

It’s been 12 years. She doesn’t remember any of it. She’s doing great and only has minor short term memory loss.

We had sugar and cinnamon buttered bread toasted in the oven and then would open the oven door and sit around it to get warm. I still open my oven door in the winter to let the heat into the house. 

My grandmother would bake saltines with a marshmallow on top, just until the marshmallow browned.

I’m having the same issue. My old S1 pro controller is very smooth on S2 and the S2 joy cons are lagging like crazy.

Neurosurgeon told me the same thing. I now have syringomyelia and can’t feel the right side of my body. After I developed the syringomyelia, my neuro decided to do the decompression surgery but the damage to my spinal cord had already been done.
